This list will be updated as more restaurants figure out what they are doing, so check back – it will be at the top of the page. As of this time, all of these restaurants have reservations available. You’ll find businesses offering to-go options like baked goods, tamales and complete dinners here. As I hear that dinners are sold out, I will cross them off of the list.

Andina

Open Thanksgiving Day, Andina will be serving a special Peruvian 3-course prix fixe menu from 1-9pm featuring celebrated favorites and specials that honor Andean flavors and ingredients. Live music will take place throughout the day. Dishes include roasted mahi mahi, cebiche, lomo saltado and lucuma-pumpkin pie. The price is $60 per adult and children over 12, and $30 for children 5-11 years.

Fogo de Chao

Try the Thanksgiving offerings from Fogo de Chão, Portland’s premiere Brazilian steakhouse. Starting in November, rotisserie pork chops and roasted vegetables will be added to the menu of over 15 different meats and an extensive salad bar. Starting Thanksgiving Day, Fogo will serve sweet potato casserole and cranberry relish, and both items will be available through December. During Thanksgiving weekend only, Fogo will add rotisserie-roasted turkey to its list of unlimited meat offerings, a perfect accompaniment for the casserole and cranberry relish!

Fogo will be opened with special hours this Thanksgiving from 11:30 am – 3:00 pm and 4:00 pm – 9:00 pm.

Gracies at Hotel DeLuxe

Chef Mark Hosack of Gracie’s in downtown Portland’s glamorous Hotel deLuxe has amped up his tempting fall small plates dinner menu with enticing holiday specials. Available for dinner from 3 to 8 p.m. on Thanksgiving, November 28, 2013, these entrée-sized options present an elegant twist on iconic Thanksgiving dishes and regional favorites such as Roasted turkey with all the fixings ($29), Crab and bay shrimp stuffed salmon filet with with asparagus risotto, baby arugula salad, lemon caper butter sauce ($39), Slow roast Prime Rib of beef with garlic mashed potatoes and winter green beans, beef gravy, Yorkshire pudding and creamy horseradish ($37). For the sixth year in a row, Nicky USA will offer chefs and home cooks a European-style air chilled turkey from Nicky Farms. Nicky USA offers a sustainable, ethically responsible choice for the holidays with options including Nicky Farms Air-Chilled Broad Breasted White Turkeys, Oregon Organic Turkeys, Free Range Turkeys and a myriad of other game birds.

All products are available by calling Nicky USA directly at 1-800-469-4162 to order or though many specialty retailers in the Portland-metro area. All direct orders must meet a minimum of $125.

OSU Food Safety Hotlines -

How do you quickly thaw a big turkey? Should you stuff it or not? How do you make turkey giblet gravy like your grandma’s? As Thanksgiving approaches, you can get answers to questions like these by calling the Oregon State University Extension Service’s holiday food safety hotline at 1-800-354-7319.

The statewide hotline runs from Nov. 18 through 22, and 25 through 26 from 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. It’s staffed by Extension-trained Master Food Preserver volunteers.

The Extension Service has offered the hotline for more than 20 years. Every November, volunteers with the OSU Extension Service in Douglas and Lane counties field an average of 200 calls from throughout the state. You’ll also find a list of many other cooking tip hotlines here.

Pacific Pie –

Thanksgiving orders are now being accepted at Pacific Pie, officially ushering in the restaurant/bakery’s busiest season. Fully baked 9.5-inch pies serving eight people can be ordered by calling (503) 381-6157. Popular Thanksgiving flavors include Traditional Pumpkin, Chocolate Bourbon Hazelnut, Pecan, and Apple.

Once again the restaurant is also creating Thanksgiving to-go dinners, consisting of Turkey Pot Pie, bacon roasted Brussels sprouts, mashed potatoes & gravy, sage and apple stuffing, cranberry sauce and pumpkin pie. Orders will be accepted through November 25th.
