At the Eyepiece: It seems like forever since we have had a decent day of sunlight! Actually since July 18th, so just over a month, so its been a very long time indeed. I only have a few minutes after work to grab some videos, but the wealth of detail, especially the prominence's, made a quick peak very possible and worth the effort.The tree prominence in the video was especially nice, since I do not recall seeing a more perfect example then this one today. There were other large prominence's as well, nicely captured in the video as well. My camera settings were primarily for capturing the proms, but surface detail was also decent. I hope to get my white-light solar filter this week because there are also plenty of sunspots to view too.
