It has been reported that in the rebel controlled areas in Syria, the civilians who are under the rule of the rebels are now starving to death.
The US have asked the Syrian government to provide aid to these rebel controlled areas.
There seems to be a suggestion that its the fault of the Syrian government that these rebels cant provide for the people they rule.
My own opinion is that the rebels should let the civilians leave so they can get food from elsewhere.
Of course, if they did that, the rebels would loose a lot of power so it seems they are happy to let their own people starve rather than concede power.
Of course, the Syrian government could always just provide aid to these people held in rebel controlled areas which would also save lives. Although, this would be essentially feeding your enemy so that same enemy can continue to try kill you and your civilians.
So who is to blame for these deaths?
The Syrian government for refusing to feed the rebels and the people they hold.
Or
The rebels who created the situation in the first place.
(yeah, I know its a loaded question, but its always good to know where the OP stands on their threads!)
It seems the US has already made their own minds up as to who is to blame and have even released soundbites invoking memories of the Chemical Weapons attack.
From an 11 year old kid...
"We are bored of this. If they want to attack us with chemical weapons - then just do it. But can they make them with the smell of bread so we can die happy?"
BBC News - Syria must allow aid convoys to starving civilians, says US
So who do YOU think is to blame?
