Laguna Rep. Len Alonte Naguiat has denied justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre’s accusation that she and former Senator Leila de Lima offered P100 million to the National Bilibid Prison convicts to recant their statements against Sen. Leila de Lima.

In an interview with DZMM’s Ted Failon, Alonte said she would seek a meeting with Speaker Pantaleon Alvarez on how to address the issue as they belonged to the same party – the ruling Partido Demokratikong Pilipino-Lakas ng Bayan.

Alonte said she won under the Liberal Party in the last elections but she switched to PDP-Laban because she believed in President Rodrigo Duterte’s agenda against drugs.

“I will talk to the leadership of PDP-Laban, nagulat talaga ako sa news today. Wala pa po akong kinontak, I will call the Speaker and ask for their guidance and help. Nasira ang aking pangalan at bayan dahil sa hearsay. Nirerespeto ko na imbestigasyon ito ng DOJ pero sana respetuhiin ‎din nila ako,” said Alonte.

Alonte said Aguirre should have first checked his claim that she spoke with the inmates detained at Camp Crame and offfered the bribe money over the phone which was overheard ‎by the guards.

‎”PDP-Laban member ako, di ko sisrain ang pangalan ng partido Pdp laban member di ko sisiarin ang pangalan ng partido pati pangalan ko,” said Alonte.
