Former presidential sister Kris Aquino is doing her own share to promote nationalism on social media amid the recent negative news reports on the Philippines brought about by President Rodrigo Duterte’s rhetoric and anti-drug campaign.
Fresh from a vacation in Japan with her two sons, Aquino said in an Instagram post upon arriving in the Philippines: “I love our country… I will always have faith in the goodness of the Filipino. #Home”
The Philippines has been in the news lately even overseas because of the rising death toll in Duterte’s war against drugs and his strong remarks against some world leaders, including United States President Barack Obama and United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki Moon.
