What Makes The Person A Game Changer: As Executive Director of HTTP, Jason Llorenz advocates for federal policies and local initiatives that facilitate Hispanic broadband adoption, digital literacy and entrepreneurship. An attorney by training, and member of the New York bar, Jason has built a reputation as a passionate advocate and evangelist for the unique role of technology in the economic and social development of Hispanics and America. Previously, Jason served as senior policy advisor to the National Hispanic Caucus of State Legislators, the nonpartisan membership organization representing the interests of more than 300 Hispanic state legislators across more than 25 states, the US Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico.
Jason has addressed organizations in Washington, on Capitol Hill, and around the country — most recently as a panelist for NBC’s Education Nation — joining Congressman Pedro Pierluisi and education experts for a conversation about the emerging role of technology in education hosted by Telemundo’s Mary Gamarra at the New World Center in Miami, Florida. Jason began his career as a Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute Law Fellow. He serves on the boards of the Washington Internship Institute, Inc. and La Cooperativa of Washington, D.C., and is a legal advisor to the Columbia-Harlem Small Business Development Center at Columbia University.
