Oh man, this mani... I normally wouldn't probably post this as I think it was such a fail from the start to the very end but I'm so busy that I don't have time to do anything else for this theme, so this will have to do.

The main issue about this mani was of course stamping (I'm gonna get to those weird abstract nails later, don't worry...). I don't even know why I thought it would be great idea to stamp when I didn't have that much time to use for this mani in the begin with. I guess I figured I could pull of two accent nails with stamping decals, that shouldn't be too hard, right?! Wrong, oh so wrong! The only polish I'm pretty much able to stamp with is Konad White, anything else and I'll fail. For my idea I really needed to stamp with black, so I figured that my Essie Licorice (it's one of my most used polishes for the theme you know) would work for it just perfectly as it's already a bit old and thick... Well, I just could get it to stamp, just nothing. Really, NOTHING! After trying over and over again with changing my technique every time I managed to get something on my stamper, but no where near the whole image.

So finally after many attemps I just asked my boyfrind to stamp for me. Yeah, you read it just right! Why him you ask? Well, once before when I was completely failing with stamping (yet once again) he just came in and said, that he didn't believe it was so hard and so he wanted to try. And you guessed right, he succeeded prefectly with the first attemp. How frustrating. Sooo, I didn't want to give up on my idea for this mani and I asked him to try to do the stamp for me since I only needed two to make the stamping decals. And he tried and failed too, ha! But I immediately knew what he did wrong with his first attemp and I directed him a little and with couple more attemps he was able to get me the perfect image. So really the irony here is that I'm well capable to give advice on how to stamp, I just can't do it myself.

Then of course I colored the stamping decal with China Glaze Riveting (also one of my most used polishes for the theme) and the decal actually looked really cool until I tried to place it on my nail. I just didn't go as I wanted and there are some bubbles and wrinkles and everything. I guess I should have just given up by now... But no, I had to finish the manicure, so I thought I should make something really quick on my other nails. Something abstract maybe? Yeah, let's just sponge some Licorice and Riveting over white base (Essie Blanc, also one of my most used ones). And yeah, that didn't really work either. It just looks messy and wrong.

All in all, I'm pretty sure you won't be seeing me stamping for a while. But you already probably guessed that, right?! Lol.
