Maybe I've been spending too much time inside my igloo but I have never heard of a waterproof mascara topcoat. Who thinks of these things? Anastasia Beverly Hills did when they created Lash Genius.

The hourglass shaped wand helps to reach all the lashes. The clear serum that you see is a silicon resin that contains "jellified" tryglycerides. The translucent topcoat gives long lasting hold to your mascara while waterproofing it.
When I applied it, I didn't see any change to my mascara. I found that surprising because I thought if you coat a mascara, it naturally would be goopy or clumpy. It still just looked like my regular mascara. Naturally, I thought maybe it wouldn't work since I didn't see anything obvious and my lashes didn't look ickified.
I've worn this several times under very trying circumstances for mascara. I've worn it to a deep tissue massage where I lay on my face for a half hour. I've worn it to the chiropractor, again laying on my face. I've worn it in a rainstorm where I had to wipe the rain out of my eyes. And, I wore it in a raging windstorm where one of my eyes was running so badly that it made tear tracks on my cheek. In all of these instances, Lash Genius performed admirably. To my pleasant surprise, I had no running or smudging in any of these circumstances. No joke!!! I've also been testing a waterproof mascara of another brand and it hasn't survived these kinds of incidents, so I am truly impressed.
What I love about Lash Genius, besides the fact that it works, is that you can wear your own favorite mascara and waterproof it. The problem I've had with waterproof mascaras before is that I have to leave my favorite mascara look behind and use a waterproof which doesn't have the same fullness, curve and length that I'm used to. I can have that full lash look that I like and waterproof it without changing the look at all. It's great!! You do need to be sure to use a waterproof eye makeup remover to take it off.
