How acne occurs
Acne.org explains that our bodies are covered by thousands of microscopic hair follicles (pores) and that acne occurs when these follicles overproduce cells and become blocked. During this process the sebum (oil) which normally drains to the surface gets trapped and bacteria begins to grow.
Types of acne
Acne is generally classed as either inflammatory or non-inflammatory. Criteria used to diagnose your acne type would include; the amount of breakout activity, the degree of inflammation, hydration levels, sebum (oil) levels and the areas of the body affected. Thereafter, acne is classified from Grade I – IV and each grade requires a different type of treatment and care.

An antiseptic lotion with specific anti-acne therapeutic action. It contains ingredients which inhibit the development of Propioni bacterium Acnes, responsible for acne as well as Canadian Willowherb which prevent the action of acne bacterium. Also assists in combating excessive sebum secretion while removing excess oiliness and shine.
Juliette Armand Clarifying Foaming Wash
This foaming cleanser contains germicidal and astringent agents that combat microbes and removes excess oiliness. Also contains the wonder ingredient, Willowherb.
Juliette Armand Clarifying Mask
A therapeutic, anti-inflammatory clay mask with powerful anti-inflammatory effects. It calms the skin and alleviates skin inflammations and irritations. Contains Normaseb, a complex of amino acids such as glutamic acid and metheonin.
