The editor will develop, write and edit content for construction trade magazines and affiliated online products.
Primary Responsibilities
-Oversee production of Metal Roofing, Rural Builder and Frame Building News print products from the planning stages through the final checking of proofs.
-Work with fellow editor in all aspects of editorial focus: writing, editing, manuscript budgeting, production and planning.
-Assign relevant and timely features to freelancer writers.
-Obtain and publish relevant content from external sources.
-Work with design staff to maintain a consistent standard in the print product.
-Collaborate with advertising sales team to help group reach revenue goals.
-Maintain content that makes group website must-visit destination for industry professionals, particularly directory and product information.
-Create editorial email newsletters.
-Leverage group brands’ social media presence: Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn.
-Represent company and brands through attendance of key industry trade shows.
