Food and Beverage Manager Career Opportunity-Violet Crown Cinema
What are we looking for?
We are looking for an experienced hospitality professional that is passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences. Candidates must have a minimum of two years of managerial experience in the hospitality industry, preferably in a restaurant or café with fluid menu offerings. Ideal candidates are comfortable working in an environment with a sense of urgency and discipline in a growing business environment. Given the nature of the job responsibilities, this position requires evening and weekend availability.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Direct and organize the activities for the Food & Beverage department to maintain high standards of food and beverage quality, service and marketing to maximize profits through outstanding customer service.
2. Plan and direct the functions of administration and planning of the Food & Beverage department to meet the daily needs of the operation.
3. Implement effective controls of food, beverage and labor costs.
4. Manage food and beverage sales on a weekly basis to consistently understand the profitability of each of the food and beverage items on the menu and to make changes periodically to enhance profitability.
5. Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation and alcohol awareness standards.
6. Help ensure high standards of food and beverage quality, service and marketing to maximize profits and ensure outstanding customer service.
7. Interview, train, supervise, counsel, schedule and evaluate staff.
8. Collaborate with chef to develop and deliver high quality, creative and unique menu items.

About Violet Crown Cinemas:
The first Violet Crown Cinema opened in Austin in April 2011. The Violet Crown concept is designed to substantially elevate the cinema experience through distinctive programming and enhanced amenities, including reserved seating for all seats and all shows, craft beer, wine, and cocktails, and a restaurant offering quality food selections not available in traditional cinemas. Violet Crown has announced a cinema in Santa Fe, NM scheduled to open in the fall of 2014. We expect to announce additional locations.
