It’s easy to get a museum pass with your library card. Simply click on ‘Information About’ at the top of the page and click on ‘Free Museum Passes‘. Then, either pick by Museum or the date you want to go. Input your library card number (the barcode on the back of your card). That’s all! The FAQ’s has answers to the most commonly asked questions about our Museum pass program. Enjoy the exhibitions!

Suffolk County Vanderbilt Museum
Centerport, NY

Vanderbilt realized the potential for his sprawling estate to become a museum “for the use, education and enjoyment of the general public.” He established a trust fund to finance the operation of the museum and deeded it to Suffolk County, New York, upon his death in 1944. The county opened the museum to the public in 1950.

Long Island Museum of American Art, History & Carriages
Stony Brook, NY

Located at 1200 Route 25A in Stony Brook, the Long Island Museum is a Smithsonian affiliate, dedicated to American history and art with a Long Island connection.

The museum is open Thursday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m and Sunday from noon to 5.

Sundays, September 13, October 11, November 8, December 13, January 10, 10:30 am–12 pm

Families with children ages 5 and up. On the second Sunday of every month, museum educators lead family-friendly tours that include conversation and creative hands-on gallery activities. Tours are organized around a single theme and highlight artworks on view from the Guggenheim’s permanent collection and special exhibitions.
