Technology Integrator magazine lauds lens for performance and innovation

RONKONKOMA, N.Y.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–August 15, 1013 – Sigma Corporation of America (www.sigmaphoto.com), a leading researcher, developer, manufacturer and service provider for some of the world’s most impressive lines of lenses, cameras and flashes, has been presented with an EXC!TE Award from Technology Integrator magazine for its revolutionary, new Sigma 18-35mm F1.8 DC HSM lens.

Technology Integrator is a publication of the Consumer Technology Publishing Group (CTPG). Each year its editors honor innovative, high-performance products via their annual EXC!TE Awards.

“We appreciate Technology Integrator’s recognition. The 18-35mm F1.8 is, without question, a standout product. We’re really proud of our accomplishments over the past year and we’re looking forward to delivering more unique, high-value products that underscore our commitment to photographers,” said Mark Amir-Hamzeh, President of Sigma Corporation of America.

Sigma’s 18-35mm F1.8 lens is the industry’s first zoom lens to achieve a maximum aperture of F1.8 throughout the entire zoom range. It was created for DSLR cameras with APS-C size sensors, which translates to a focal range of 27-52.5mm on a 35mm camera. This 18-35mm F1.8 is the latest addition to the company’s Art line of lenses, designed under the new Global Vision line. The lens is compatible with Sigma’s new USB Dock, which enables photographers to adjust the lens’ focus parameters, and may be updated for different camera systems through Sigma’s new Mount Conversion Service.

Sigma’s 18-35mm F1.8 DC HSM lens will be featured in the magazine’s annual October EXC!TE Awards issue.
