At Point Blank we extremely proud to say that 85% of our graduates have gone on to work in music related roles. By utilising the relationships we’ve built over the years, we constantly strive to provide all our students with fantastic music industry opportunities. Our good friends over at Enhanced Music are looking for an enthusiastic Point Blank student to complete a 3 month internship. Enhanced Music is an independent record label based in London. With output across the dance music genres but predominately focusing on progressive and trance, the label releases around 4 releases per week and many albums and compilations a year. And if that’s not enough to get you excited – they are located in the same building as Point Blank which means you can easily fit this in around your studies! The last Point Blank student who completed this internship, Aleksander Iliev, studied the Music Production and Sound Engineering Diploma and has gone on to release a track with Enhanced Music which just goes to show the brilliant rewards that can be achieved.
DUTIES /SKILLS
Working with one of the industry’s most exciting, young record labels at our offices in London
Gain a broad understanding of the record label industry, being involved with all aspects of the business during your time with us
Daily dealings with our artists, suppliers and clients
Input on releases, new concepts, marketing and promotion
Experience is not necessary but a good knowledge of Enhanced and dance music is essential!
HOURS
The rota can be flexible around the student’s hours – Working hours are from 9 to when the job’s done, but interns normally do 10-5 if they’re doing a full day or half day. All travel expenses to and from the office will be reimbursed, as well as any other additional costs that incurred as a result of completing the internship.
