Classes meet for two weeks Mondays through Thursdays at 5:15 pm
Preschool swimming: Children ages 3-5 will begin learning how to swim with their faces underwater, how to jump in the pool and how to retrieve toys from the bottom of the pool. Class emphasizes skills of body position, arm movements, kicking, floating and breathing.
Youth swimming: YMCA swimming is about water safety, skill development and fun for everyone. Classes are divided into ability groups and trained instructors emphasize personal safety, swimming skills, endurance and social skills whild guiding students with praise and encouragement. Our swim lessons are more than just the techniques and skills; they are about building friendships, developing self-esteem and creating positive experiences that will last a lifetime.
