For the first time, Elica, the leading Italian company in the production of cooker hoods is taking part at IMM Cologne with its own stand at Living Kitchen.

International visitors have the chance to see all the latest from Elica at their stand, products that combine design, technology and innovation and which are the result of research and experimentation at the Elica Design Centre. Over the past few months, Elica has strengthened its position in domestic air automation to the point where the hood has become a genuine smart device that communicates with other systems to ensure clean air throughout the house.

The Living Kitchen stand was designed by the Roman Labics architecture studio, which through the use of photographs of over 2,500 employees, has put the people who make the company great at the centre of the space while the products are arranged in thematic groups.

The star of the show is NikolaTesla, the first aspirating induction hob which combines the dual functions of induction hob and extractor fan. NikolaTesla is able to incorporate information from the cooking areas and automatically calibrate the ideal aspiration level. During the event, NikolaTesla’s excellent performance was demonstrated by show cooking from culinary journalist and food blogger Ailén Gamberoni and chef Giovanni Zorzolo.
