For my senior project in highschool, we had to pick a theme and write a paper on it. My theme was the apocalypse in pop culture and when doing all the research for it, I noticed Appleseed on the list of apocalyptic and post-apocalyptic animes. Therein ends my knowledge of Appleseed.
It’s gotten a revival recently, including two Play Arts Kai from Square-Enix! We’ve got Deunan Knute and Briareos Hecatonchires. I have to say, he doesn’t look much like a Greek titan with a multitude of arms… he looks like a robot suit. But Japan sure does love Hecatonchires, they’re all over the damn place!
