The Sept. 8 deadline is looming to submit your speaker proposals for Percona Live London 2013′s conference breakout sessions and tutorial sessions.

In addition to fame (and dare I say fortune?), if selected as a speaker by our amazing conference committee, you’ll receive a complimentary, full-conference pass.

Some call for papers pointers:

Breakout session submissions should be detailed to clearly indicate the topic and content of your session proposal for the conference committee. Sessions will be 50 minutes in length including Q&A.

We are particularly interested in proposals that fit into the following likely conference Tracks: Developing Applications, Database Administration, Trends in Architecture and Design, Tools, Utilizing Hardware, New Features, Best Practices for Businesses, Replication and High Availability Strategies

Tutorial session submissions should be detailed and include an agenda for review by the conference committee. Tutorial sessions should present immediate and practical applications of in-depth MySQL knowledge. They should be presented at a level between a training class and a conference breakout session. Attendees are expected to have their laptops to work through these detailed and often hands-on presentations. Your Tutorial will be 3 hours in length including Q&A. If you have a full day tutorial you would like to submit, 6 hours in length, please indicate this in your submission.

Remember, this Sunday (Sept. 8) is the deadline to submit your speaker proposal. So if you’ve been mulling this over and putting it off until the last minute, well, then it’s go-time. Click here and get started.

Your participation at Percona Live London is an opportunity to make a difference. To give back to the MySQL community. So step up and volunteer to present your unique insights into MySQL and MySQL-related technologies.

Struggling to come up with an idea? Tell us your MySQL war story: Are you managing multiple environments? Are you working with MySQL or its variants at the code level? Share your perspective about the internals or explain how specific features work in depth. These stories are gold! And you owe it to the MySQL community to share them.

Don’t worry about being fancy. Some of the most popular talks have been on simple topics done well. Many people come to the conferences to learn – and we need content for MySQL newcomers as well as the veterans.

Percona Live London, which runs November 11-12 at the Millenium Gloucester Conference Center, is the premier event for MySQL’s rich and diverse ecosystem. It is the place to be for the open-source community, as well as the business marketplace within which MySQL thrives. The conference presents a rare opportunity to learn from some of the most accomplished system architects and developers in the business. And this is your opportunity to participate – and give back.

Questions? Let me know in the comments section. I look forward to hearing from you.
