Hi everyone!
I've been a member of this wonderful community since last year's June but I haven't had the chance to properly introduce myself, so here's a complete (kinda long) introduction and a short Pokemon Cafe post! (* ॑꒳ ॑* )
(I'm very new to LJ though, so please do forgive me if there's something wrong with my post or anything that I might not notice regarding to the LJ system) >__<
My name is Yin Ying, you can call me either Yin or Ying or both XD
I'm from Malaysia and am currently a 23 year old uni student studying Real Estate Management.
I love to draw but I'm quite new to digital drawing. I hope to meet more members who draws!
The Altaria in my profile pic is a sample of my work! >w< I love to draw Pokemons and I'm planning to make my art into fan merchandises in the future ^_^
I also love attending comic or anime conventions to hunt for cute Pokemon fanarts and fan merchandises. Though I have a few experience of boothing in conventions, I still feel I need to improve more on my drawing :)
I've been in love with Pokemon ever since I've watched its anime when I was a child. The first season of the anime was my first experience of Pokemon instead of the games because my parents wouldn't get me and my brothers a Gameboy, so I never had the chance of playing the original games until I got myself a computer when I entered college and played Pokemon through emulators. :'D
I stumbled by this community accidentally a few years back when I Googled for some Pokemon merchandises, and now I felt extremely happy to be able to join this awesome group.
I usually lurked in this community to browse and admire all the amazing collections the members have, and I finally gathered my courage to join last year >_<
I really have no idea about the existence of the physical Pokemon Center in Japan until last year when I asked my brother's friend to buy 2 plushies. Since then, I'm instantly addicted to collecting Pokemon plushies after experiencing its superb quality.
I mainly collect plushies but I don't have any specific Pokemon or types of merchandises to collect, I just buy those which I love. I'm quite fussy and choosy when it comes to plush, most importantly is its shape and details must be spot on, its looks and pose must be able to catch my heart. (I'm REALLY picky right? XD)
So here's some latest pictures of my precious babies~
Currently I don't have a set up or shelves to put my plushies, so they're all cuddled up on the corner of my bed for now, until I moved to my new house in a couple of years :D
Warning! Picture heavy! :D
My latest gets! Who can resist those cute eyes of Popplio and its bobbly head?! Just had to buy him <3
My love for Cyndaquil is too deep until my standards is kinda high when it comes to Cyndaquil plush. Apart from the Secret Base Pokedoll, Petite mascot and the latest PC plush, other existing Cyndaquil plushes doesn't really do him justice. The flame of this plush is heavenly soft, and he's my instant fav <3
Sandshrew and Sandslash are one of my favourite Pokemons! Since it's Sandshrew's first ever official plush (in Alolan form..whyyyy), I have to get it and I still love it. The body details of it is just amazing! Totally no regrets of getting him.
Next is my beautiful foxes. 10000000% love for it, 'nuff said XD
My birb squad <3
The Piplup Kuttari is my first Pokemon Center plush I got it by asking my brother's friend to get while they were in Japan.
The Piplup DX plush from I Love Marine Series is my first purchase from here! I got it from the wonderful schenzi! It's one of my grail, so once again, a huuuuge thank you!! <3 <3 I love the pastel blue and Piplup's big wobbly head <3
The Piplup Pokedoll is my second purchase from this community, I got it from revarrie! I didn't know it's the US release though, and I didn't have the experience of asking before buying, so I'm still on the lookout for a Japanese Piplup pokedoll~ preferably with mint hang tag :D
I missed the Rowlet Cushion from the Rowlet's Garden promo. That'll be my next grail! The current prices are really high to a uni student, so maybe I'll wait till I got a job, then get him :')
My Eeveelutions <3
I'm aiming for quite a few Eeveelution plushies but due to financial restrictions, I have to wait a little longer to get more :')
My Ghost Buddies! <3
Gengar and Drifloon, my personal favourite ghost types! Love them to bits <3
Planning to get a normal Mega Gengar in the future :D
My other large sized babies~
I love Mew and Pichu's pastel colour <3
Planning to get Raichu and the sleeping Mew from the I Love series in the future, I hope. (RIP bank account)
All the other babies <3
The Cyndaquil Secret Base mascot is the second plush I owned, bought together along with the Piplup Kuttari. These 2 plushies really dragged me into the endless abyss of Pokemon merchandise collecting :')
The Togedemaru pass case is cuter than the plush itself imo, so I got this instead of the plush XD
The San-ei Zorua is extremely soft and along with Shinx, they're the first San-ei plushies I've ever bought. The quality is extremely superb and makes me hard to avoid my second purchase for San-ei plushes :')
The lovely Milotic is from Pokebox; Shiny Mega Gardevoir and Mega Charizard X from Banpresto <3
Yep, I just had to get a partner for my Ditto Gengar and they look perfect <3
I love to keep all the pretty hang tags in my fav box <3
Small hang tags are all kept in this mini macaroon case
Larger hang tags are all kept in the box:
I also figured a way to remove the hang tags without cutting the plastic "string".
I try to keep all the hang tags as new as possible and if I ever decide to sell any of my plushies, I can reattach the plastic string like new :D
I 'lock-picked' the plastic string by using a thin hair pin XD
I would also love to hear from you all on the methods of keeping the paper tags! ^_^
There's also a Pokemon Cafe opening in my country until the end of February, so I paid a visit and picked up some merchandises! Bewear, it's image heavy XD
Unfortunately, I was too excited until I forgot to snap a pic of the cafe.
The cafe is a small booth inside AEON, a large departmental store.
It's smaller compared to Singapore's Pokemon Cafe, and the merchandise here is lesser too.
There are also less if not no "freebies with purchase" such as the Pokeball mug :'(
Anyways here's a pic I found from Google XD
Now, for my little adventure at the Pokemon Cafe:
I brought Popplio, Cyndaquil and Sandshrew along with me~ (*´▽`*)
The food there is too expensive for a mere student to afford, hence I only ordered a drink :')
The drink I ordered is mango yoghurt drink and it taste more yoghurt than mango, which I like it XD
The price for the drink is 3 times of the price of an economical meal. Not that I'm complaining but it's just really a one-time experience thingy :'D
I managed to get a few of the "table sheets"(or mat? They're just papers) ٩(◦`꒳´◦)۶
Seeing how I loved Pokemon, the waitress willingly give me extra table sheets *I'm so touched*
These are the merchandises I bought from the cafe! For every drink or meal ordered, you get a coaster! (At the beginning of the promotion/opening of cafe, but I went around February)
The waitress gave me a set of coasters despite I only ordered a drink. I even get the limited edition Ang Pow! I am eternally grateful to her :'D
The waitress gave me 2 of the group coasters by accident though, which means i missed out the other boy Pikachu waiter design. But since I don't really fancy Pikachu, I don't mind XD
The "Red Packet" or Ang Pow, is a limited edition freebie available only in Malaysia Pokemon Cafe with a minimum spending for a receipt.
I got myself a set of Pokemon badges too <3
Next up are these pretty clearfiles!! With Christmas and Lunar New Year theme <3
I love how they used pink instead of the typical red for the Lunar New Year theme!
The clearfiles are also exclusive merchandise available only in Malaysia's Pokemon Cafe, as claimed by Anista TOKYO, the company collaborating with Pokemon.
The other side of the clearfiles, both clearfiles have similar back design.
The pictures below are some of the cafe's other merchandise that I didn't buy.
Picture from Anista TOKYO FB page and a fellow member of Nintendo Pokemon Communication Group Malaysia :)
So that's all!
I apologize for the image heavy and super long post but I hope you guys enjoyed reading it :)
And I would also like to apologize for my poor photography skill, most of it are out of focused and I couldn't do much since I have no idea how to use my brother's DSLR camera properly haha.
Again, thanks for looking and reading! (*´▽`*)
