Penn State fans will get an inside look at the program they love so much starting August 20 on ESPNU as part of the ESPN All-Access: Training Days series.

The series will showcase behind-the-scenes access to on- and off-field activities, team meetings and campus facilities. The segments will introduce players and coaches as they compete in pre-season training camp, which begins Aug. 5.

The filming will conclude with a one-hour ESPN or ESPN2 special Tuesday, Aug. 20, at 7 p.m. In addition, Penn State vignettes will be shown during College Football Live, SportsCenter and multiple ESPNU shows beginning Aug. 16. A five-part series consisting of 30-minute specials on ESPNU will begin Wednesday, Aug. 21, at 6 p.m. The remaining four airdates on ESPNU are to be announced.

Penn State joins Alabama, Ohio State and Oklahoma as the college football programs featured on the ESPN All-Access: Training Days series since its 2010 debut.

For O'Brien and his staff the series will offer the program a unique platform to show the nation, and more importantly any recruits watching at home what the football program has to offer. The up close and personal look at the preparation behind O'Brien's second season in Happy Valley should be interesting for Nittany Lion and college football fans alike.

Penn State open its season Aug. 31 vs. Syracuse at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J.
