The Steelers added two familiar faces late Tuesday night, signing running back Brandon Brown-Dukes and cornerback Brandon Dixon to the team’s practice squad.

The 5’8, 200-pound Brown-Dukes was initially signed by the Steelers in May before being released earlier this month. With Daryl Richardson signing with the Jaguars earlier this week (after Pittsburgh initially reported that the Steelers had resigned him to its practice squad), Pittsburgh needed another running back to fill its vacant position on the practice squad.

Like Brown-Dukes, Dixon is also returning to the Steelers are being released earlier this month. The New York Jets sixth round pick in the 2014 NFL Draft, the Northwest Missouri State product eventually landed on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers roster later that season, playing in 14 games and recording his first career interception.

The 5’11, 203-pound Dixon has also seen time with the Seattle Seahawks, New England Patriots and New Orleans Saints.

Pittsburgh’s practice squad players have made an immense impact on the Steelers 2016 season, as former practice squad players Eli Rogers, Cobi Hamilton, Johnny Maxey and Demarcus Ayers each made key players during Pittsburgh’s 31-27 victory over the Ravens that clinched the AFC North title for the black and gold.

Pittsburgh (10-5) will cap off their 2016 regular season on Sunday by hosting Cleveland (1-14) at 1:00 p.m. EST on CBS.
