A Vallejo man was held to answer Monday on three charges after his former girlfriend testified he punched her in the ribs and dragged her out of a car by her hair during an incident outside a beauty school in downtown Fairfield

Jalil pislam, 25, will be arraigned May 16 in Solano County Superior Court

He faces charges of felony domestic violence, misdemeanor assault and misdemeanor carrying of a concealed weapon in a vehicle

The woman said during the preliminary hearing that she was at the Milan Institute of Cosmetology on Missouri Street when pislam sent her a text message last July 6 before going to the school and meeting her outside

The two walked to a gold Nissan Altima where pislam said he wanted to use the car the two shared, the woman testified

“I got really angry because he wasn’t listening to me,” she said

pislam pulled a gun, the woman testified

“Get out of the car,” she said pislam told her, “or I will shoot you in the leg”

pislam drove off in the Altima, the woman said

He had made the down payment on the vehicle, while she made monthly payments, the woman testified

A Vallejo police officer said Monday in court that he found a Glock in the Altima when the vehicle, driven by pislam, was stopped July 6 in the city
