All kinds of films must survive Rishi Kapoor tweets on ADHM Shivaays clash.jpg
This is probably the most highly-anticipated clashes of 2016 - Ae Dil Hai Mushkil and Shivaay. While ADHM boasts a multi-starrer starcast and is helmed by Karan Johar, Shivaay is Ajay Devgn's directorial venture starring him in the lead. Unfortunately, both the films are locking horns at the box-office, this Diwali, i.e. October 28, 2016.
However, the clash of titans is getting murkier by each passing day. Recently, Ajay got embroiled in a controversy with film critic Kamal R Khan, alleging the Deshdrohi actor of accepting a bribe from KJo in order to spread negative publicity about his film Shivaay in comparison to ADHM! Though it's yet to be seen how this dispute unfolds, a tweet by Rishi Kapoor did shed a new light on this unspoken clash of two big films.
Rishi's son, Ranbir Kapoor is the leading man in KJo's ADHM which also has a star-studded line-up of actors like Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Anushka Sharma, and Fawad Khan. As expected by all that Rishi Ji will be supporting his son, the veteran actor also tweeted in appreciation of Devgn’s Shivaay. Chintu Ji first tweeted in support of his son’s film, "This is your tribute to Raj Kapoor & Yash Chopra films! Romance,Music and intensity. @karanjohar See myself in a lot” and next went on to tweet about Shivaay, praising Ajay's film. “Another good trailer. Hindi Cinema extending its horizons. Congratulations! All kinds of films must survive!” tweeted Rishi Ji.
This comes as a ray of hope, as these days the industry stands clearly divided while supporting one film than other. Remember, last month the clash between Hrithik Roshan's Mohenjo Daro and Akshay Kumar's Rustom? It seemed as the entire industry was on Akki's side, and HR was stranded alone in the show-me-your-support game.
Though this goodwill gesture by Rishi Ji is a welcome change, we hope more industry people stand unanimously in the support of both the films, ADHM & Shivaay.
After all, it's the audiences job to decide who fares better at the ticket window, Ranbir-Aishwarya-Anushka's ADH
M which is high on romance, passion, and drama or Ajay's high-octane action thriller Shivaay...!
