Akshay Kumar's Rustom, which opened to superb response, enjoyed a good run on Monday's Independence Day holiday. The film has earned INR 67 crore nett in its four days of release. Rustom earned INR 17.75 crore on Monday and thanks to the positive word of mouth, the film is minting money at the box office.
On the other hand, Hrithik Roshan's Mohenjo Daro is lagging behind and has raked in INR 40 crore nett. The film failed to witness a good growth on Monday at domestic box office.
Akshay and Ileana D'Cruz starrer, which released in over 2317 screens across the domestic market, is expected to continue having a good run. Despite having released in 2500 screens, Hrithik's film is struggling to keep the viewers entertained.
Both the films are now looking for Rakshabandhan on Thursday as the only film releasing on Friday, August 19 is Happy Bhag Jayegi, which is a low budget film starring Abhay Deol, Jimmy Sheirgill and Diana Penty.
