‘“Back to the roots,” Riccardo Tisci said after presenting his beautiful, quite refined collection for Givenchy. He was talking about the house’s founder, Hubert de Givenchy, and his Parisian couture of the sixties ..’ (style.com)

This is the collection I’ve been waiting for from Tisci, such a breath of fresh air. It exemplifies more than just trendy graphics and street style ensembles. His extreme control over his usually oversexed and romanticized collection, and the respect he showcased for Hubert de Givenchy really impressed me (the HDG on the clutches, props to you ricky). I think Givenchy is going entirely in the right direction to be taken as a serious, couture worthy label, rather than just a hip street style brand with longtime popularity of celebrities, rap stars, and bloggers.
