Welcome to day 5 of the Papertrey Ink March release countdown! Today is another group post day and we are all sharing projects with Erin's new Coin Purse die collection. How fun is that? And wait until you see how cute they are! And the best part? They are a snap to assemble.

All of the new stamp sets and products that I am sharing today will be available to purchase on March 15th, 10PM ET, at Papertrey Ink.

If you go search handmade coin purses on Pinterest, you will find so many fabulous ideas of how you might want to put together your coin purse and think of all the things you can make the purse with.

I found this lovely little felt coin purse with embroidery stitching. I really love the blues, yellows, and golds together...

So, I went digging through my Papertrey Ink felt, pulled out a piece of Blueberry Sky, and got to work...

How cute did this turn out???

Now, I have a background sewing and even have worked at a fabric store and in alterations at a departments store in the past. I do not care to put in a zipper. I can do it, I just have never cared for it. But let me tell you, Erin made putting a zipper into the little bag SO easy. I have zipper shopping on my list so that I can make up some more of these cute little coin purses (my mom already took this one that I am sharing with you today!)

I used the Seasonal Stitching: Birds dies to embroider the bird and wing right onto the purse and then I added a few more embroidery stitched flowers and french knots to finish embellishing the bag.

I made a up a quick little tag to attach to the bag for gift giving. I cut the base of the tag with the new Tag Sale #10 die from one of the journal cards in the Monthly Moments: March journal card collection. The sentiment is from the Monthly Moments: March set and the flowers are from the Embellished Elegance set.

Next I took a Coin Purse Pocket die and used it to create pockets for this scrapbook layout.

I have a bunch of photos of flowers that I have taken at a local garden. I just really love to take my camera in spring when everything is coming up and the tulips are in season and just photograph the flowers. I put my camera into manual mode and play with settings as I shoot. I just love it.

Here's a look at all the little photos pulled out of the pockets.

To attach the pockets to the pages, obviously you can't run this big scrapbook page through the die cut machine. I used the pocket front as a guide and used a paper piercer to punch the holes on the cardstock base of the layout. Then I stitched them right to the kraft cardstock using white embroidery floss.

I even used the front of one pocket to do my journaling. After I die cut the pocket, I ran it through my typewriter. The date stamp is from the Journal Accessories set, the month stamp is from Monthly Moments: Slide Frame, and the year is from Library Ledger Years Additions. Just make sure you get everything on the pocket before you stitch it down onto the layout!

I used a combination of journal cards from the Monthly Moments: March journal card collection to create the title part of my layout. I punched out the "spring" letters with a circle punch and layered them onto the little "bloom" journal card. I just had to add the little butterfly that I created with the Seasonal Stitching: Butterflies dies, and then added a few little sentiment strips made with the little notched banner included with the Tag Sale #10 dies.
