Welcome to day 3 of the Papertrey Ink August release countdown. Today I have some more projects to share using my new Wonderful Words: Thank You and Nuts For You sets.
All of the new stamp sets and products that I am sharing today will be available to purchase on August 15th, 10PM ET, at Papertrey Ink.
First up is a card that I created with Wonderful Words: Thank You, Wonderful Words: Teacher, and the new Apple Prints set. The three of these together are perfect for a teacher thank you card and a look at using the focal words of the Wonderful Words sets together for the sentiment on your projects.
I stamped the "thank you" from the set on a strip of Pure Poppy cardstock using Scarlet Jewel Ink and then added the "teacher" word that is stamped on the coordinating die cut with Smokey Shadow ink.
I had to do a little more coloring with the squirrel from Nuts For you. This time I used Copic markers and added a polka dot texture with the colorless blender. After I added the polka dots, I went over the image again with the main shade of brown to keep the polka dots a little more subtle.
I added the background on the white cardstock with the new Autumn Pattern Pieces set and instead of stamping it first, I actually stamped it right over my colored image. If you are using a lighter shade, like Fine Linen or Soft Stone, it really isn't going to affect the image.
