Each year, the Dixie Stampede Christmas Show impresses thousands of visitors. The show features all of the favorites from their regular season show, like the animals, decorations and dinner, but adds a special twist of the holiday season. Snow falls to cover the arena and a live nativity will bring the joy of the season to life.
Hatfield and McCoy Christmas Disaster Show
At the Hatfield and McCoy Christmas Disaster show, the two feuding families will come together and try to put their differences to rest for the evening. Dinner will be served and you’ll get to enjoy the spirit of the holiday season as they “put the fun in dysFUNctional.”
Lumberjack Feud Christmas Show
Looking to enjoy the classic Lumberjack Feud show with a twist of the holidays while you’re in town this season? You can join them this year for the Great Annual Christmas Competition. Similar to their regular season show, but with a little added Christmas magic, the lumberjack families will join in their annual Christmas competition – it’s one you won’t want to miss!
2. Take a Drive Through the Pigeon Forge Winterfest Lights
This is one of our favorite things to do in Pigeon Forge at Christmas! Every year, Winterfest in Pigeon Forge kicks off around mid-November. Once Winterfest kicks off, millions of lights will sparkle throughout the town each night through February! Of course, you’ll see the lights no matter where you are in the area, but we think the best way to experience all of the holiday lights is to take a drive through town. We suggest starting at one end of the Pigeon Forge Parkway and making your way across town by traveling straight down the Parkway. This way, you don’t miss any of the lights and you can enjoy them all from the comfort of your car.
Quick tip: To make the trip extra special, play Christmas music in the car and stop for a hot chocolate along the way!
3. Get into the Holiday Spirit at The Island in Pigeon Forge
The Island is one of the most recent additions to the Pigeon Forge area and it’s filled with so many fun things to do at Christmas! It’s a great place to spend an afternoon or evening because there’s so much to see at The Island in Pigeon Forge. When you arrive, you’ll see that it’s decorated for the holiday season! Start by enjoying a meal at one of the restaurants or stopping by for a quick appetizer. Then take a ride on the Great Smoky Mountain Wheel where you’ll be able to see along the Pigeon Forge Parkway from 200 feet in the air, in a heated gondola. To wrap up the day, shop through over 40 speciality and gift shops to find the perfect souvenir for your vacation.
