Things To Do in Pigeon Forge in November

The month of November means the end of fall, Thanksgiving and of course…Winterfest! If you’re looking for a great vacation or just things to do in Pigeon Forge in November, here’s a list of the best events happening.

November 1- December 31: Titanic Museum Attraction Christmas & Winter Celebration– Inside and out, Titanic is magical during the winter holidays. The sights, sounds and joy of the season are sure to hail the arrival of Christmas 2015. You’re invited to stop by November thru December for Titanic’s holiday spirit. The ship will be aglow. Come exchange greetings with our Titanic crew or enjoy the glittering lights and the festive decorations.

November 1- January 2, 2016: Thomas Kinkade’s Christmas of Light– A live musical celebration brings the masterpieces of “The Painter of Light” to life! It’s a true Christmas spectacular that creates an unforgettable music experience, that will fill you with joy, hope and love.

November 3- January 2, 2016: Christmas at Dixie Stampede– Get ready to fall in love with Christmas at Dixie Stampede. Fun and excitement of the grand performances during their spectacular Christmas event. Nothing will compare to the way the performers bring the spirit of the season to life. Their amazing tribute will warm your heart and soul.

November 5- November 14: Titanic Museum Honors Veterans– Titanic Pigeon Forge honors veterans! Past or Present Military Members free admission with Military ID during Veterans Week. Guests must present a Military ID/Papers. One comp admission per ID, other guests in their party can receive the regular military discount.

November 5: REGEN Movie Charity Event– Join us on November 5th, 2015 at Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies in support of the film, “REGEN”. REGEN is a film about 12 year of Regen Morris, a courageous boy from Sevier County and his battle with a rare neurological disease. All proceeds benefit the promotion of the movie “REGEN”.

November 6: 5th Annual Fall Mountain Home Tour– The 5th Annual Fall Mountain Home Tour will begin at The Barn Event Center in Townsend, TN on Friday, November 6, 2015. The Home Tour consists of a lovely luncheon with a glass of wine provided by Cades Cove Cellars and bus transportation to the featured homes for guided tours. Bus departures begin at 9 AM and luncheon reservations can be made from 11 AM — 1 PM on the half hour.

November 6-7: MLC Women’s Retreat– This amazing women’s organization comes together twice per year, in both March and November. The MLC Women’s Retreat takes place at the Music Road Hotel and Convention Center.

November 7- January 3, 2016: Dollywood’s Smoky Mountain Christmas– A seven-time award winner of America’s Best Christmas Event, Dollywood’s Smoky Mountain Christmas Festival presented by Humana, Nov. 8 through Jan. 3, 2015, features four million holiday lights and spectacular holiday performances, including Dollywood’s A Christmas Carol, an all-new adaptation of the Dickens classic.

November 7: Dick’s Last Resort “Vibe 5k Red, White & Blue Glow Run”– Dick’s Last Resort is proud to bring you the Vibe 5K Red, White & Blue Glow Run, benefiting the local Smoky Mountain Rescue Dog for Veterans of the Smoky Mountains. This 5K will start and finish at the Island in Pigeon Forge, TN, Saturday November 7th at 7:30pm, registration begins at 6:00pm.

November 7: Superhero Night at The Island– Be sure to bring the kids out for Superhero Night at The Island in Pigeon Forge! For those in costume, you can enjoy half price unlimited rides pass.

November 7: Quilted Roadshow at the Great Smoky Mountain Heritage Center–  Smoky Mountain Quilters and Foothills Quilters present the 8th annual Quilters Road Show in conjunction with the First Handcrafters Showcase, benefiting the Mary E. Tippitt Memorial Library. The Quilters Roadshow is sponsored by Amy and Chad Rochelle/Dogwood Cabins, Gina’s Bernina Sewing Center, and Mid-South Sewing Center in Knoxville.

November 9: Sevierville’s Winterfest Kick Off– Winterfest kicks off in Sevierville and runs through February. Nearly 30 million holiday lights will be on display throughout the Smoky Mountains area. Bring the family and enjoy Winterfest!

November 10- December 31: Winterfest Trolley Tour of Lights– Take in the five million twinkling lights throughout Pigeon Forge while riding on the Winterfest Trolley Tour of Lights. The tour begins and ends at Patriot Park. All trolleys on the Winterfest Trolley Tour of Lights are enclosed and heated and come with a personal tour guide who will share stories of Pigeon Forge History and information on the famous Winterfest displays.

November 11: Gatlinburg Winter Magic & Chili Cookoff– Gatlinburg kicks off the 26th Annual Winterfest with the annual Gatlinburg Winter Magic & Chili Cookoff. The event starts at 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on the Parkway in downtown Gatlinburg. City officials will kick off Gatlinburg Winter Magic with a ceremonial lighting of more than 3 million lights throughout the city.

November 13- 14: Light the Way 5k– Dollywood is proud to be hosting the 4th Annual Light The Way 5K on Friday, November 13, 2015, at 11 p.m!  This is a tradition the whole family can enjoy! In the spirit of the season, over 4 million lights will illuminate your path as you finish inside the park. Both runners & walkers are welcome…so make plans now to run, prance or dance your way thru the Park to benefit two amazing charities – Keep Sevier Beautiful & Share it Forward!

November 21: 6th Annual Holiday Homecoming at the Great Smoky Mountains Heritage Center– Come and celebrate harvest, home, and the holidays with live music throughout the day, kids’ crafts, basket weaving demonstrations, Santa, and more! Fun activities for the kids:  Make old fashioned Christmas tree ornaments to hang on your tree, learn how baskets are made, and best of all visit with Santa Claus!

November 26: Fireworks for Thanksgiving– Thanksgiving evening, Thursday, November 27 at 7 p.m., the night sky will be ablaze in colorful bursts of light and fantasy during the Titanic Museum Attraction’s 3rd annual fireworks extravaganza honoring the lives and legacies of the ship’s passengers, crew and rescuers. November 26- 28: Meet the Titanic Museum Fantasy Princess– For the 3rd year in a row, our Titanic ‘Fantasy’ Princess will be here to greet little girls and boys and help make their holiday dreams come true. She will embody the holiday season’s magic and mystery shared by children of 1912 and today. The Titanic ‘Fantasy’ Princess is part of the annual Titanic Christmas and Winter Tribute, which features thousands of holiday lights, Edwardian style decorations, costumed merry-makers and a gift shop brimming with one-of-a kind Titanic selections.

November 26: Thanksgiving Fireworks at Titanic Museum– The night sky will be ablaze in colorful bursts of light and fantasy during the Titanic Museum Attraction’s fourth annual fireworks extravaganza honoring the lives and legacies of the ship’s passengers, crew and rescuers. It will be the largest fireworks event of the year on the Smoky Mountain Parkway.
