The time has come again. We are approaching already 21st season of summer spa opening in Piestany. This one will be carried in the spirit of art, music and exciting program carried out in 3 days. It starts on Friday 1st June in the later afternoon throughout to Sunday 3rd.
The time will be memorable for all those, who decide to come and enjoy what has this 3-day event to offer.
FRIDAY 1st,JUNE
Time planing has worked out great with The International exhibition which starts on Friday 1st and ends on the 16th of jun. The opening will take place at 6pm. The plentiful time window of this exhibition will allow even the late comers to catch on if they miss the opening. It will host well known Slovak and Czech artists who almost habitually present their work of arts in this place for the last eight years.
The same day, Friday 1st of June, a band Blue Note Jazz Band will pay a visit to perform at The Musical Pavilion in The City Park.
They are known for capability of creating the touch with the audience. Combined with the amount of spectators we can expect a spirit of a jazz festival for the given time.
SATURDAY 2nd, JUNE
The Blue Note Jazz Band wont be satisfied just with friday’s air time. They will follow on reaching people with their jazz vibe at 8 am to 9 am at Kolonadny bridge.
At 10 o’clock, there will be a traditional springs blessing at the Spa Island of Piestany center.
At 10:30, the crowd will take a march to the House of Arts.
At 11:00, an official 21st annual summer spa season opening will be initiated. The stand and participation will entice well knows public figures, actors and artists.
At 14:00, The Preßburger Klezmer Band will capture attention by its unique music style. This band has gained an ample amount of fans in the spin of 17 years. They were able to combine and blend various kinds of music such as balkan music, oriental music and gypsy Slovak music with bids of jazz, rock, reggae and Latin. It is unquestionably a band of its own kind and has a certain place in the European world music scene.
At 15:00, the music tourch will be carried onward by The Susie Haas Band. The members of this band will bring enlightenment with their music. Their instruments such as flute, trumpet, guitare, violoncello and others, create such a happy vibe that it won’t leave many people motionless.
At 16:00, the Sfinx dance group will take over the stage. The main streamline of the group is choreographing various dance styles that differ from each other. It is an fascinating mixture of styles that these creative artists promote. It will be definitely an enrichment of this fabulous event.
At 17:00 Martin Harich and his band will display their abilities to cheer up the audience.
At 18:00 V-8 Band will let its charm flow. This band was found on 1994 and will try to pump your heart with their rock’n'rolls and Latino repertoire.
At 19:30 people can have enlightening moments with the Vidiek band. In addition to Country music, this group is also characterized by their stage shows. Dressed in rural outfits and acting up their behavior, young and elder ones might giggle.
At 21:00, the IMT Smile will come on the stage to complete the day. Since 1992, when this band was created, they have released over a dozen of albums with enormous success. It is one of those bands that only goes forward nad constantly attract new fans from all age groups.
Besides the music joy, there will be also physical activities in this Summer Opening. They can be joined by the small ones as well as by any other age group who feels to engage. They will be held in the Scouting Camp at the City Park.
SUNDAY 3rd, JULY
At 16:00, the band Fidlikanti will take the stage. This is a must for folk music admirers. The band has four members who can make almost miracles with their instruments. Fiddle, contrabass, cymbal, bass-viol and superb singing are those powerful tools that will leave you with remarkable memories.
The 21st annual opening of the Summer Spa Season Piestany 2012 is a yearly event that attracts many spectators.
