If you’d like to be a part of something exceptional, we now have an opportunity for a SENIOR PHYSIOTHERAPIST to join us at the BMI ALBYN hospital in ABERDEEN on a 9 month fixed term contract to cover Maternity Leave.
This post is for 30 hours per week, working 4 days from 7 on a rotational basis. You will also be required to participate in the department on call rota.
• It is essential that applicants are fully qualified Physiotherapists and meet the following criteria:
• Membership of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists (CSP)
• Current Health Professionals Council (HPC) Registration
• Knowledge of CSP and HPC Codes and guidelines and their implications for practice
• Knowledge of the Healthcare Improvement Scotland (HIS) requirement
• Strong organisational, planning & risk management skills
• Excellent interpersonal & Communication skills with the ability to use these skills effectively, deploying a range of techniques to assist the communication process.
• Applicants should also be competent in all working practices undertaken in a busy physiotherapy department within an acute hospital setting
• Duties of this role include:
• Managing a clinical caseload, providing physiotherapy assessment and treatment to the highest standard
• Providing physiotherapy treatment for Outpatients and Inpatients
• Participating in patients’ pre-admission and follow-up care as appropriate
• Providing excellent customer service and promote a professional and caring environment
• Ensuring the department maintains BMI Physiotherapy accreditation
• Undertaking other duties delegated by the Clinical Lead Physiotherapist, and to deputise for him/ her as required
• Participate in the department weekend and on call rotas

The hospital has 28 private en-suite bedrooms, 3 theatres, a high dependency unit, laboratory, imaging, pharmacy, physiotherapy and audiology departments. The hospital also provides Health Services including Counselling, Private GP Service, Travel Health, and Health Screening. Over 100 consultants practise at BMI Albyn Hospital. They are supported by caring and professional medical staff, with dedicated nursing teams and a resident medical officer on duty 24 hours a day.
