 Affiliate Links

Hi! I wanted to explain a little about affiliate links to those of you who are new. I’ve received a lot of emails from readers recently asking about the links in my blog posts. I know some of you already know this stuff, but for the rest of you who are unclear, let me tell you about them!

Affiliate links are links that allow my site to make a little money (like pennies on the dollar) with different brands and sites if you click and purchase a product. That money is then put back into the operating costs of my blog. Just so you know, I only receive a commission when a reader clicks on the affiliate link and purchases something. If you click and shop, but don’t buy, nothing happens. If you want to support my blog through shopping on affiliate links, that’s awesome! If you don’t, that’s ok too. I just want to make sure you understand what they are. I also have an explanation in my Disclosure policy.

I try to have affiliates with companies that I love and believe in. Some of those companies, like Urban Decay, don’t offer an affiliate program so I use sites like RewardStyle or Amazon.com to link to their products. Other ones, like Sugarpill or Makeup Geek, do have an affiliate program. So I wanted to list off my current affiliates for you. (subject to change, of course)

– You all know I love Sugarpill and am happy to support them.

– I’ve found some great deals on Hautelook, such as my Luminess Air airbrush machine and lots of other makeup and handbags.

– I’ve loved Morgana Cryptoria lipsticks for years and was ecstatic when she created an affiliate program. You can find so many great unusual lipstick colors! My all time favorite color is Troll Repellant lipstick! BEST EVER!

– I’m a fan of Makeup Geek eyeshadows and pigments. If you’re a MAC fan looking for cruelty-free dupes, you need to check out Makeup Geek. I particularly love Galaxy, Peacock, Poolside and Mermaid.

– I always find bizarre things on Groupon. I’ve used it for local sushi restaurants, batiste dry shampoo, mbeze deodorant, shirts, Sensa chews, purple shorts… just a random bazaar of fun!

– I’ve been a fan of GDE since their inception. They’ve come a long way!

– They make a lot of really nice lippies and blushes. Their eyeshadow primer is fantastic, too. If I could recommend just one product by them it would be their eyeshadow primer.

– They have some lovely eyeshadows and glosses.

– They have some nice eyeshadows! When I tried their foundation it had a nice texture but was too dark for me.

– Hostgator is my host and they’ve been awsome. They’ve fixed my server and migrated when I’ve had issues. They’ve gone above and beyond.

– As Pink Sith would say, I’m an Amazon Hoor! I purchase EVERYTHING through Amazon. Games for my 3DS, Cosmetics, kindle ebooks, music equipment, I could go on and on! I have Prime membership, which means I get free 2 day shipping on a lot of things. They’re awesome.

- Furless Cosmetics makes AWESOME brushes! I have 2 brush sets from them, one of which I’ve mentioned in a video. I consider them to make must have cruelty-free brushes! I haven’t tried their cosmetics but I really can’t say enough nice things about their brushes.

Skimlinks adds links in my old posts, usually to useful stuff. It also ties in with my ShopBop affiliate.

ShopBop is a clothing and accessory retailer. I’ve got their widget in my right sidebar. They’re new for me.

Reward Style is what I use to link to Sephora, Ulta and Nordstrom.

This is what I have for affiliate linking. Please feel free to email me with questions.
