Urban Decay Says
UD launches Naked Skin Ultra Definition Finishing Powder as a companion to our Naked Skin Weightless Ultra Definition Liquid Makeup. It’s the next evolution in Naked Skin: an addictively silky, weightless finishing powder with a luminous, demi-matte Naked finish. This powder is designed to be virtually invisible on your skin. It blends flawlessly to set makeup and cut shine. Optical blurring pigments instantly minimize imperfections, diminish shine and create a stunning soft-focus effect that looks professionally retouched. Unlike other powders that leave skin looking cakey or chalky, ours gives you a radiant complexion and natural looking naked coverage. Apply it right after your foundation to set your makeup or use it throughout the day to touch up. Our jet-milled formula has an insanely silky texture that feels amazing on your skin. It’s oil-free, paraben-free, fragrance-free and alcohol-free.
Hype
UD receives tons of requests for pressed powders, but we wanted to create a new formula that was worthy of our Naked name, and Naked Skin Finishing powder lives up to the hype. This pressed powder works beautifully with our other Naked Skin products. Our Senior VP of product development wears it with Naked Skin Beauty Balm and says it’s her favorite product of the season. Need more coverage? Pair it with Naked Skin Weightless Ultra Definition Liquid Makeup. It compliments the liquid foundation perfectly, enhancing the already luminous finish.
Packaging
The gorgeous custom compact in gunmetal and champagne feels weighty in your hand and has a Naked embossed push button. The top compartment features a full size mirror, perfect for on the go touchups and a separate compartment underneath holds the applicator sponge. A pretty purple x-rayed flower design carrying pouch has been included to keep the case protected in your bag.

I think that I could probably get away with using Medium Light or Light, as it seems like the Finishing Powder shades are very forgiving for those two. Light definitely works for me and Medium Light blends into my skin nicely, too. While you can choose to apply it with the sponge that comes with it, I prefer to use my fiber optic finishing brush.

I’ll be testing this product out in a few different ways but I primarily wanted to test it the way it was intended for use – with Naked Skin Liquid foundation. I feel like it definitely lives up to its claims with the UD foundation.
When tested for wear, it was true to its description it did not get cakey on me. I applied it very lightly on top of Urban Decay Naked Skin Liquid foundation. I didn’t get oily in my t-zone, which is where I tend to need to blot. I feel like the combination of the liquid foundation and finishing powder made my skin look perfect. I like that it’s pressed, because if I needed to touch up, I could toss it in my makeup bag and take it with me. I didn’t show any signs of wear for around 6.5 hours. Then it looked like I needed to touch up around my t-zone. With my bangs on my forehead and me constantly blowing my nose from my allergies, those are the areas that needed touch up. Everywhere else looked good. After 8 hours, I saw the need to touch up my cheeks.
I definitely feel like it gives me a flawless face! I also think the color match is pretty amazing.
