I’m a Gemini, so for the Zodiac Collaboration I naturally chose Gemini. Gemini is the third sign of the zodiac. I was born on the 18th of June. The symbol of Gemini is the twins. It’s an air sign, and colors tend to be yellow and blue.

According to astrology (and wikipedia), it is governed by Mercury, a planet noted for swift movement and symbolically associated with the interchange of ideas and fluid responses to circumstances. Gemini is also linked with the four elements (element of air) which represents the mental and social realms, the ability to formulate abstract ideas and to effectively interpret symbols, imagined concepts and communicative signals. As the mutable air sign, governed by a planet which is astrologically given to the principle of transmutation and communication, the symbolic focus of the sign falls upon movement, quick-thinking, intelligence, free-flowing expression, gesticulation, and spontaneous reaction. The sign is symbolized by ‘the twins’, which also presents duality: the ability to relate to opposing visions simultaneously, to possess dexterity and a talent for multi-tasking

This might be why I hate it when people ask me to choose just one thing. I typically can see why multiple paths might work.
To represent my sign, I did one half of my face in more of a serious, sultry look, while the other half is more playful and carefree.
I used matte eyeshadows for Serious. I even used Illamasqua Skin Base in Au to give me a bit of a light golden tan effect. I contoured the cheek with Casino and highlighted with Hungry Heart to sort of sculpt it a bit. I used Toffee gloss, since it seemed appropriate with the smoky cat eye. I pulled my hair back to represent having it in an up do (not that I have enough hair for that), and left a bit framing my face.
Serious Side:
Too Faced Shadow Insurance Lemon Drop
Urban Decay Freestyle – lash line to browbone
Urban Decay Backdoor – high in crease, echoing a cat eye shape, then lightly blended on top of Freestyle on the lid.
Urban Decay Kinky – browbone to highlight and inner corners of eye
MAC Blacktrack – cat eye shape upper lash line, lower lash line, lower waterline
Urban Decay 24/7 liner Baked – lower lash line

Laura Geller Balance-n-brighten in Porcelain

I used sparkly blues, purples, whites and silvers with iridescence and Pixie Epoxy. I added lots of texture to my hair to make it a bit wild. I did a very soft blush for the cheek, and sparkly pink lips.
