We are currently looking for a Web Team Leader with excellent PHP and Javascript skills to join our team - you will lead and manage the Web Development team to provide critical web support and enhancements to the technical team and business. You will proactively understand and manage the diverse technical requirements of the Nominet web platform to deliver both an internal and external facing web capability for the Nominet business. You will deliver enhancements and projects in line with a technical roadmap across multiple technologies and platforms.
Key Objectives are:
Provision of high quality web support and development to both Nominet business and IT team
Management of web software, development infrastructure and people to provide high quality service
Be comfortable working with a breadth of web technologies whilst ensuring a coherent, high-performing platform
Proactively create a consolidated web platform that blends the right technologies to create an ideal solution.
Work closely with the Marketing and Communications team to understand direction and deliver projects and enhancements
Work to Service Level Agreements to manage uptime and performance of both systems and services
Understand and proactively plan software and infrastructure to meet both technical and business needs
Manage project activity and balance this with support and administration tasks
Work closely with the Development team and wider IT dept to deliver key projects and processes
Manage a team of professionals to drive results within a culture of love coming to work
Be an effective, disciplined, self-starting and self-managing leader capable of hard work
The ideal candidate will have
Extensive experience working in web delivery roles
Experience in a lead or management role
A thorough understanding of Web development methodologies, trends and systems
A strong knowledge of Java, PHP, Apache, Tomcat, Javascript, DHTML, AJAX
A strong knowledge of Drupal
Experience in web architecture design
Excellent GUI/UID design skills
Good Knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems, working within service level agreements, managing software and hardware projects.
