Magic Logix is rapidly growing and looking for Front End Web Developer. The primary focus of the Web Developer is to design, develop, and implement software packages for web sites. The Web Developer troubleshoots debugs and implements software code. Consults with project team members to design, build and manage web sites. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks. May lead and direct the work of others. Reports to a project leader or manager. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is required. This position requires a bachelor's degree in a related area and 3-5 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
This role will include being the technical leader of numerous web-related applications. Working with other development Architects and Tech Leads, this engineer will identify technical solutions and designs to high level business requirements.
Technical Qualifications
Expert in hand coding HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
Expert in XML, MySQL and PHP
Expert in tableless markup
Ability to code cutting edge designs that both validate, and follow accessibility guidelines
Skillful in the use of JSON/AJAX techniques to create Web 2.0 style sites
Must be team-oriented, possess a positive attitude and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Modern OO JavaScript programming skills; Mootools experience a plus
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong critical thinking skills.
BS/MS in Computer Science or relevant Technology field
Deep understanding and effective use of RIA based Design Patterns and effective user interaction best practices
Common Development tools (SVN, etc)
Good organization skills and the ability to take initiative and prioritize multiple tasks
Must have experience with Drupal, Magento, Joomla and Wordpress
The ideal candidate will have experience with:
CodeIgniter
JavaScript troubleshooting (Firebug and other browser debugging tools)
Graceful degradation
