An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Developer to join a leading fashion retailerto join a growing fast paced online team.
Key Tasks Implement front-end layouts from provided designs Set and maintain company coding standards Unit test and document work Database design, implementation and query development Collaborate with third parties to resolve issues or develop new solutions Monitoring system and help maintain stability and high performance Be an expert on the Magento Platform and its capabilities Review competitor apps, platforms, mobile and websites offerings and recommend changes to improve future offerings Any other activities as outlined by Development Manager
Essential Skills 3 years of development experience using .net as primary language Degree in computer science Experienced in PHP5 object orientated code Can use version control (git) Experienced in Magento development including best practice Clear communicator Relishes a challenge Strong planning skills Creative
Desirable Keeps abreast of the latest technology and promotes its benefits into the workplace Experience of implementing good development practice, with a particular focus on code architecture and design patterns Experience with using major PHP libraries/frameworks such as Zend and Symfony Has exposure to more languages such as Java, C#, Perl, Python, Ruby
Has understanding and experience of tackling Magento performance bottlenecks
