Waterbury, CT- 04 February 2017-020417CM05- Jordyn Jackson, 2, left, and her mom Nike Jackson of Waterbury listen to Children's Librarian Margaret Keating read Dog's Colorful Day by Emma Dodd to children at The Silas Bronson Library on Saturday. The library held it's Take Your Child to the Library Day, which included an ice sculpting demonstration and activities in the Children's Room. The Hartford Foundation for Public Giving granted the Connecticut State Library funds to distribute special edition copies of “Harold and the Purple Crayon”, which were made possible by an anonymous donor. A special dedication to the children of Connecticut were given away throughout the library's across the state, which included the Silas Bronson Library in Waterbury.
