We're excited to announce that Tuts+ is currently looking for a photography editor to join our team. If you've got a deep appreciation of photography, excellent communication skills, and a passion for teaching, this might be the job for you!
What Does the Role Involve?
Our team of editors are the glue that holds Tuts+ together. As an editor, your most important job is to develop an ongoing content strategy to help millions of users learn new photography skills, and manage a team of instructors who produce written tutorials and video courses.
You’ll also interact with the community of readers and instructors, proof-read article submissions, respond to comments, handle the admin behind the topic, and stay up-to-date with what’s happening in the world of photography.
You’d be working remotely (so can be based anywhere), joining our existing team of editors who work from all corners of the globe.
We’re looking for someone who has:
A passion for teaching and demonstrating photography
Excellent language and communication skills
A strong knowledge and experience of a variety of photographic skills and techniques
An appreciation of both the technical and aesthetic aspects of photography
Strong organisational skills
An attitude that aligns with Envato’s culture and values.
Role Details
You can work from anywhere
The time commitment is 40 hours per week
You’ll be working on overseeing both photography tutorials and courses
Competitive rate as a contractor
We provide access to most of the web services you need to use, though you’ll need to have access to your own software (e.g. Photoshop)
