Epson Debuts New Ultra-Slim, Ultra-Powerful Epson Expression Premium and Photo Small-in-One Printers; New SureColor P-Series Large Format Printers

The Expression Premium series includes the XP-530, XP-630 and XP-830 and leverages a Claria Premium five-ink system to deliver borderless prints up to 8” x10” and documents with sharp text. The Expression Photo XP-960 Small-in-One printer features six-color Claria Photo HD inks to deliver vivid, professional-quality borderless photos up to 11” x17”.

The 24-inch SureColor P6000 and 44-inch SureColor P8000 are designed for graphic designers, commercial printers and photographers. Successors to the Epson Stylus Pro 900-Series, the 24-inch SureColor P7000 and 44-inch SureColor P9000 incorporate a reformulated Epson UltraChrome HDX 10-color ink set.

PARC selected by APRA-E to develop micro-chiplet printer

PARC, A Xerox company, has been selected to design and build a prototype micro-PV cell (or chiplet) printer with the potential to enable economical, high-volume manufacturing of micro-PV cell arrays. “Similar to printing ink on paper, we’re developing a new kind of printer that will print “chips as ink”, sand-sized chips in liquid that are electronically placed precisely on the surface.”

Fujifilm announces new LED UV inkjet printer “Acuity LED 1600 II”

The Acuity LED 1600 is a versatile wide-format LED UV inkjet printer launched in 2012. The Acuity LED 1600 II features a new fast printing mode of 33m2 (355 sq ft) per hour, which is 50% faster than the previous model. The addition of the automatic jetting calibration function based on printhead gap and the vacuum mode has improved the printer’s media adaptability, thereby expanding its applications and reducing media loss.
