Some major musical acts are set to hit the Valley’s concert stages in March. From Bruce to Bieber, there is something for just about every musical taste.



Grab some friends and turn up the volume on your week. Check out these must-see music events coming to Valley venues this month.

The Band Perry  —  March 5th

The Band Perry makes a stop in San Tan Valley as part of the Good Life Festival Tour.

Fans who plan to see the singing sibling trio at the Encanterra Country Club will also get to experience cooking demonstrations, wine and craft beer tasting, and spa and golf demonstrations at the venue. The Band Perry first hit the scene with the somber tune “If I Die Young” in 2010. They haven’t slowed down since. Local acts The Anglim Sisters, Tami Austin, and Logan Mize are also on board to perform at the event. The Band Perry takes the stage at 6:20 p.m. Tickets are available on The Good Life Festival website.

Breaking Benjamin  —  March 7th

After a major tour with Sevendust and Shinedown, Breaking Benjamin is back on the road with Starset as its new opening act.

The band touches down in Tempe at the Marquee Theatre on March 7th. With a new crew  —   guitarists Keith Wallen and Jasen Rauch, bassist Aaron Bruch, and drummer Shaun Foist  —   Breaking Benjamin’s album Dark Before Dawn recently won Best Rock Album in the 5th Annual Loudwire Music Awards. Charlie Puth  —  March 7th

YouTube sensation Charlie Puth has made the leap from computer screens to concert stages.

On his first North American headlining tour, Charlie will perform live at Livewire in Scottsdale on March 7th, although tickets might be hard to come by for this sold-out performance. Previously pairing with fellow artists Meghan Trainor, Wiz Khalifa, and Trey Songz, Puth’s own debut album, Nine Track Mind, was released January 29th. It includes Charlie’s hit song One Call Away, which has taken the radio by storm.

Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band  —  March 10th

The Boss. Need we say more. Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band will command the stage at Talking Stick Resort Arena on March 10th performing Springsteen’s 1980 album The River in its entirety.

The tour stop follows the 2015 release of The Ties That Bind: The River Collection box set and marks the first time the 66-year-old rocker has ever dedicated an entire tour to one album. Fans who have previously attended a Springsteen concert know they will likely be in for a little overtime. The Boss is well known for keeping stadiums rocking well past the three-hour mark, clocking out at 4 hours and six minutes for his longest concert ever four years ago in Helsinki. Peter Frampton  —  March 10th

Peter Frampton comes alive acoustically at the Orpheum Theatre in downtown Phoenix on March 10th. The classic rock legend is extending his Raw Acoustic Tour through the West with Gordon Kennedy and his son, Julian Frampton.



The Phoenix tour stop follows the release of of Frampton’s new album Acoustic Classics that features the guitar great performing stripped down versions of some of his classic hits including Show Me The Way, Lines On My Face, Baby I Love Your Way, among others. Tickets range from $99 to $121.

McDowell Mountain Music Festival(M3F)  —  March 11th– March 14th

Local acts The Haymaker Squares and The Senators join Beck, Kid Cudi and Bloc Party among the musical acts shoring up the McDowell Mountain Music Festival (M3F) from March 11th through March 13th.

This is the 13th year of the festival’s support of local non-profits in the Valley counting Phoenix Children’s Hospital Foundation and UMOM New Day Center among them. Expect full days of music, food and arts mixing rock, indie, and blues. Tickets may be purchased at the M3F website as daily passes or three-day general and VIP tickets.

Viva Phoenix —  March 12th

Viva Phoenix is a festival like no other before. In one night, 65 bands will perform at 15 different venues in downtown Phoenix.

The Festival intertwines headliners with local Arizona favorites such as Crystal Castles, Lydia, The Growlers, Dry River Yacht Club, Harrison Fjord, and the Phoenix Afrobeat Orchestra, to name a handful. P. Diddy, Faith Evans, Mase, Carl Thomas, Lil Kim, 112, The Lox, French Montana, & Total  —  March 17th

Bad Boy Records, the label founded by Sean “Puff Daddy,” “Puffy,” “P. Diddy,” “Diddy” Combs, is celebrating 20 years of hits on the Bad Boy Reunion tour.

This multi-artist show will feature some of Bad Boy’s biggest artists — Diddy, Faith Evans, Lil Kim, Mase and French Montana among them. Fans have been waiting since 2011 for Diddy to go back on tour and he has announced this will be his last. Talking Stick Resort Arena will play host to this star-packed concert event. Tickets range from $24.75 to $120.25.

Pot of Gold Music Festival  —  March 17th & 19th

Hip-hop and indie rock acts descend on Rawhide Western Town in Chandler for the Pot of Gold Music Festival in time for St. Patrick’s Day. The two-day festival takes place on March 17th and March 19th.

The St. Paddy’s Day lineup will include Future, Slightly Stoopid, Dirty Heads, Atmosphere, TY Dolla Sign and Fishbone, among others. Saturday’s session will include sets from Big Sean, 311, Rebelution, Jay Rock, Earl Sweatshirt, Protoje, Cozz, Katastro and more. There will be plenty of food and drink (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) on site for the hungry and the thirsty. Daily and 2-day passes are available on the Pot Of Gold website.

Coheed and Cambria  —  March 21st

Coheed and Cambria is on its Color Before The Sun Tour with Glassjaw and Silver Snakes. The trek makes a stop in Tempe at the Marquee Theatre on March 21st.

Since the tour is named for Coheed and Cambria’s latest album release, we expect to hear some chords and beats come together in the sound of band’s latest single, “You Got Spirit Kid.”  The album has already hit No. 1 on the Top Rock Albums chart, the Alternative Albums chart, and the Hard Rock Albums chart. X Ambassadors  —  March 23rd

New York rockers X Ambassadors visit Tempe March 23rd in the midst of their multi-country tour.

The band’s radio hit “Renegades” (also featured prominently in the ad campaign for Jeep Renegade)  is included on the band’s album VHS, released June 2015.  X Ambassadors will perform live at Marquee Theatre in Tempe.

Il Volo  — March 24th

Italian pop opera trio Il Volo will have some fans swooning at the Mesa Arts Center on March 24th.

This millennial version of The Three Tenors (Placido Domingo, Jose Carreras and Luciano Pavarotti) is actually comprised of two tenors and a baritone that, when blended together, create a rich vocal tapestry of classical crossover. In just five short years, Il Volo has soared to international stardom after meeting as teenagers on an Italian TV singing competition. The trio’s fifth studio album Grande Amore was released in September 2015. Tickets for Il Volo’s concert at the Mesa Arts Center range from $49.50 to $189.50.

Fall Out Boy and AWOLNATION  —  March 25th

Fall Out Boy jumps on tour with AWOLNATION and PVRIS in support of their latest double album American Beauty/American Psycho. They’ll be at Talking Stick Resort Arena on Friday, March 25th.

Since bursting onto the scene in the early 2000s, Fall Out Boy has seen tremendous success growing with the trends. Paired with AWOLNATION and PVRIS, this show is sure to fill up. Don’t forget, ticket holders for Talking Stick Resort Arena may also ride the light rail free for up to four hours prior to the show.

Tesla  —  March 25th

Tesla comes to The Showroom at Talking Stick Resort on March 25th.

Rocking since 1981, Tesla hasn’t skipped a beat as they continue to sell out shows everywhere they visit. Known for their 80’s power ballads, the band continues to record. Tesla released its latest album “Simplicity” in 2014. The show starts at 7 p.m. Arrive early and you might be able to get in a few rounds of blackjack before the show.

David Crosby — March 26

David Crosby of The Byrds and Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young fame, showcases his successful solo career in an acoustic performance at Talking Stick Resort in Scottsdale.

Justin Bieber  —  March 30th

Pop star Justin Bieber visits Gila River Arena on his Purpose World Tour on March 30th.

The tour is named after Justin’s latest album, Purpose, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 last November to give Bieber his sixth top seller the chart. Purpose has already spawned four hit singles for the Biebs including the radio-friendly hits “Love Yourself,” “Sorry,” “What Do You Mean?” and “Where Are U Now?” Tickets range from $50 to $116.
