Abington High Head Coach
Abington Senior High School, a PIAA class 4A school and member of the Suburban One League, is seeking a head coach for its girls’ lacrosse program. The position is available immediately. Head coach needed for first-year girls’ program, which recently received school board approval for JV competition in 2014 and will play a limited schedule. The goal is to play a varsity schedule in 2015. We expect rapid growth and are seeking a coach to lead our program as we develop future champions in lacrosse and life. This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to build a girls’ lacrosse program from the ground up! This is a club-funded program and a supportive board is in place to handle fundraising and administrative duties. We have 33 girls, grades 9-12, signed up for our 1st year. In addition, we are developing a U15 team and other levels of youth girls’ lacrosse in our town this spring. Responsibilities would consist of coaching the high school team 3x per week, plus games and also assisting the U15 club team in their development.
Candidates need 60 credits, NJ sub certificate, pass criminal history, background check and US Lacrosse Coaching Certification. There is no teaching position available. Successful candidates will have significant playing experience at the high school and college level and a passion for teaching the game of lacrosse. Salary: TBD; Appointment: Part-Time, 3 months.

Head Girls Lacrosse Coach- Direct all aspects of the girls lacrosse program including scheduling, practice planning, selection and supervision of assistant coaches, The Head Coach will have the responsibility of overseeing the entire lacrosse program (grades 7-12) in full compliance with WFS, DISC, and DIAA rules and regulations. High school playing experience required, collegiate playing experience is preferred. The Wilson School District is a high achieving academic and athletic school district and is looking for highly motivated assistant coaches. Compensation is $3,250 for the season.
