The 2013 Fall Recruiting Individual Showcase at Albright College in Reading on Sept. 22. Girls in the Classes of 2014, 2015 and 2016 will be competing in this individual event, open to all players. The 2013 Girls Philly Showcase, by NXTsports, Saturday, November 9, Westtown School in West Chester, High School and Club Coaches can nominate their players by completing the Coach Nomination Form. Cost is $200. Click here to register.The Girls Philly Lacrosse Showcase provides a highly competitive environment for elite high school players aspiring to play college lacrosse. Each registrant is placed on a team, is guaranteed participation in three games over the course of the morning, and has a chance to be selected to play in one of three “Fab Forty” All-Star games in the afternoon. Additionally, every team will be coached by a top high school coach who, over the course of the morning, will focus on teaching advanced concepts and techniques to every player.

SJS is now truly a South Jersey entity as more than 70% of its players come from towns other than Medford and Moorestown. Players are also from Mercer and Monmouth counties down to Cape May County. There will again be two teams per grade from 6th grade through rising seniors and South Jersey Select will again enter the top summer and fall tournaments in 2014, enabling players to get seen and recruited. Clinics
Aftershock 7 week skills training sessions on Tuesday nights from 6:00pm-7:30pm beginning September 10th at Black Rock park, Collegeville. These sessions will focus 1 full hour on stick skills and field sense and conclude with 30 minutes of game play to allow the girls to put their newly acquired skills into action. All players will have the opportunity to learn all positions and receive specialized instruction from myself and other Aftershock coaches. KinderLax introductory lacrosse program for boys and girls ages 5-to-10, September 16-19 and 23-26 (6-7 pm) at Wilson Farm Park in Tredyffrin Township. The program is designed to introduce young boys and girls to the great game of lacrosse in a fun, festive and sensible way using soft lacrosse sticks and spongy balls. Daily clinics employ progressive lacrosse techniques that are taught in a participatory and age-appropriate manner using novel drills, creative games and language the players can understand, relate to and retain. The goal of the program is to teach basic stick and motor skills, ambidexterity, mobility and other fundamental concepts that will form a foundation for continued learning, growth and development, all in the context of an energized and supportive setting. Cradle Lacrosse, NXTsports’ educational program for the area’s youngest lacrosse players, announces five different Fall 2013 programs around Greater Philadelphia. Cradle Lacrosse is designed to teach basic lacrosse skills to 4-8 year-old boys and girls in a fun, energizing and supportive environment. Cradle Lacrosse provides all the necessary equipment for the kids so there is nothing for parents to buy, and the curriculum is designed to teach the basics of lacrosse to youngsters in an age appropriate and fun way. All Cradle Lacrosse programs are co-ed, and Cradle features a co-ed coaching staff at each session. Cradle’s young and enthusiastic coaching staff is comprised strictly of former college lacrosse players, many of whom are current educators and also coach lacrosse at the high-school level. All participants at Cradle Sessions receive free shirts and additional Cradle gifts.

taking place this August: Philadelphia’s world-famous Please Touch Museum will hold its first-ever Cradle Lacrosse Day, on Sunday, August 3rd from 11am-1:30pm. The event is free and is part of the Museum’s Grow Games healthy lifestyle initiative, designed to introduce kids to the basics of sports while making positive choices about health.
At Cradle Lacrosse day, kids will learn the basics of lacrosse right on the Museum’s front lawn. All kids will also have an opportunity to meet and play lacrosse with Brett Manney, the Assistant Captain of the Philadelphia Wings.

Lacrosse Evolution’s 1st Annual Sea Turtle Classic, October 5th & 6th at Stone Harbor Recreation Center in Stone Harbor NJ. This tournament is a Girls & Boys Tournament that will include U9/U11/U13/U15 & HS divisions. Stone Harbor is a great destination tournament for your youth and travel programs. The tournament offers a competitive weekend for teams of all skills and will include a U7 division! The Sea Turtle Classic will include free clinics for players, coaches and even parents. The beach resort town of Stone Harbor offers a little something for everybody in the whole family including beach time, local shopping and eateries for the whole family. Haverford College 5v5 Girls’ Tournament, Sunday, Sept. 15 at 10 a.m. at Swan Field. Check-In at 9:30, 10am start time. Ages: All HS age players welcome (2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017 grad years). Play will be half court style, 10 minutes in length. Each team will play approximately 6-to-7 games. Registration: Players can register as individuals or with a team they assemble. Fall Roundup Girls’ Tournament, October 26-27, Westtown School, West Chester, by Ultimate Events, championship format, where teams are “rounded” up from across the country to compete at the beautiful campus of the Westtown School. They represent states such as: WA, FL, GA, MA, PA, MD, VA, NY and NJ, and the list continues to grow! The teams receive 4, full games, and will play both days! As a first year event last year, the Brandywine Classic hosted 65 boys and girls teams from the surrounding region. Teams are guaranteed a minimum of four games, either Saturday or Sunday with the opportunity to earn the Brandywine Classic crown. The 3rd Annual Lake-Lehman Fall Classic 7-on-7 girls lacrosse tournament, November 3rd at Lake-Lehman High School, Lehman PA,. hosted by Lake-Lehman Girls Lacrosse Booster Club, Sunday. Each team is guaranteed five 25-minute games. The cost is just $275 per team.
Lake-Lehman HS is located about two hours north of Philadelphia — just outside of Wilkes-Barre. Travel will be considered when assigning start times.

5th Annual Care for the Cure Tournament, November 9 & 10 at West Chester Henderson High School in West Chester PA. On August 15, 2008 Caroline (Care) Cranston, at 24 years old, was diagnosed with leukemia. In high school, Care played lacrosse for West Chester Henderson and continued her lacrosse career at Duquesne University. Our mission is to bring the lacrosse community together and to raise awareness for this terrible disease. This tournament is a Girls & Boys High School Tournament. There will be both a JV and Varsity Division and will include teams from all over the country. Lacrosse Evolution’s 11th Annual Pumpkin Pie Festival, November 23 & 24 at The Westtown School in West Chester PA. This tournament is a Girls & Boys Festival that will include divisions for both youth community programs and travel lacrosse programs. The divisions include U9/U11/U13/U15 for the boys, and new this year will include a U7 division! The Girls divisions include grades 3/4; 5/6; ad 7/8. The cost of the tournament is $950 per team and includes 3 games all on the same day. The breakdown will be Boys U9 & U15 and Girls on Saturday November 23 and U11 & U13 on Sunday November 24. Black Bear Lacrosse camps, Black Bear’s dedicated staff of seasoned coaches take a personal interest in advancing the fastest game on two feet. In addition to its fundamentals program, which is designed to introduce the game to beginning and intermediate players, Black Bear camps provide advanced technique and training for experienced players. Black Bear campers enjoy daily scrimmages, position specific instruction, contests, and daily personal interaction with top teaching coaches. Players of all abilities and experience are welcome and will greatly benefit from our structured, time-tested program. Campers are grouped according to age and ability. We teach players the proper technique and fundamentals and develop their skills and lacrosse IQ.

As of Jan. 1, 2011, camp listings cost $50; clinics, trainings, leagues cost $20. (the cost is free to advertisers.)
