What will you major in/study? “At this point I haven’t decided exactly what I want to do. There’s so much out there but I do know that I’m going to choose a major that deals with science, math, or both because they to me are the most interesting and are my strongest subjects. I’ve considered speech pathology, forensics, and dentistry. Now I just have to decide what’s best for me!”
Why did you choose WCU? “I chose West Chester because they have both great academic and lacrosse programs. When I went for my unofficial visit I fell in love with the school! The town around it reminded me of home.
“The school itself is beautiful and it’s only 45 minutes from my home so I will be able to see me family frequently.
“I also love the coaches; they are so nice and funny too! I think the two of them along with West Chester itself are going to be a great match for me. I am looking so forward to going there!”
What are your thoughts on this past HS lacrosse season/team’s outlook for next season? “Each year that I’ve played lacrosse for my High School we continue to get better and better. Since I was a freshman our record has improved. My freshman year we did not make playoffs but my sophomore and junior years we did! It was a great accomplishment for us. Although we didn’t make it past the first round of playoffs it was a great experience for us all!
“For this upcoming year my outlook is definitely that we keep improving and make it to playoffs for the third year in a row. I’m hope that this year we will make it past the first round of playoffs, and I think that that will give our team the confidence to believe we can beat the tougher teams! As long as we implement the things we do in practice and have positive communication with each other, I have no doubts that we will achieve great things this year!”
Additional Comments: “Thank you to both my Mom and Dad. My mom for introducing me to the game of lacrosse when I was just a little girl and for coaching my lacrosse teams when I was younger. Thank you also for being at every single game and for giving me advice on my playing even though I don’t always like to hear it. Thanks to both my mom and dad for being such a great support system and for always being willing to throw the ball around with me.
“Another thank you to my high school coach, Coach Schmucker, who is one of the most dedicated coaches I have ever had. She knows a ton about the game and has so much passion for it. She never gives up on any of her players and is an inspiration to all of us. She is a huge reason why our lacrosse program at west has come so far in the past years.”
Other Interests: Piano, Figure Skating, Field Hockey
