Families can head to the Brandywine River Museum of Art this Saturday Dec. 17th from 11am – 12pm where kids can cut and color paper dolls based on Brandywine’s Ann Wyeth McCoy doll collection, make matching bracelets for themselves and their dolls, and enjoy an informal tea party. Free with admission. $15/adults, $6 children ages 6-18.

The Comcast Holiday Spectacular continues this weekend Friday Dec. 16 – Sunday Dec. 18. The sights and sounds of the holidays come alive to entertain people of all ages and spread holiday cheer at this Philly holiday favorite attraction. Visitors can enjoy holiday performances of classics all shown on The Comcast Experience video wall, one of the world’s largest highest resolution LED displays. And take a flying sleigh ride through the Pennsylvania countryside and above the city of Philadelphia and the audience is invited to take part in a festive sing-along. 15-minute shows run at the top of each hour from 10am – 8pm. Shows are not presented on weekdays at 5:00 p.m.

Dazzle in the lights of the Holiday Light Show spectacle that illuminates Franklin Square with more than 50,000 lights to a soundtrack of holiday classics. The show runs every 30 minutes beginning at 4:30 pm daily, with a final show at 8 pm Sundays – Thursdays, 9 pm Fridays and Saturdays. Festival is free. Some attractions ticketed.

Enjoy ice skating fun and more at The Rothman Institute Ice Rink at Dilworth Park all weekend long. The ice rink is open to skaters of all levels and all ages. In addition to skating, new this year is the Wintergarten from America’s Garden Capital Maze. This festive winter garden refuge area was created in partnership with Greater Philadelphia Gardens as a way to celebrate what was William Penn’s original center square and the 32 regional gardens and arboreta that make the Greater Philadelphia region America’s Garden Capital. Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for children ages 10 and under. Skate rental $10.

The Philadelphia Film Society will host Star Wars Kids Day on Sunday, December 18 in the Prince Theater lobby from 2pm – 3pm, prior to the 3pm screening of Rogue One. Families are invited to celebrate Sunday Funday with a Star Wars themed afternoon, filled with Star Wars activities, a Star Wars red carpet and a costume parade hosted by Geekadelphia’s Dan Tabor, complete with giveaways.
