# Special Stamps to mark the historic events
– Lonest Reigning Monarch – Queen Elizabeth II
On September 9, 2015, at 12:30 p.m. eastern time, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II had reigned over the United Kingdom and all other realms of the Commonwealth for 63 years, seven months, two days and 16 and a half hours, surpassing the reign of her great-great-grandmother, Queen Victoria.
– 70th anniversary of United Nations
The United Nations Celebrated its 70th Anniversary this year. The UN is an international organization established on 24 October 1945 to maintain and strengthen international peace and security, to develop cooperation between the states.
– Battle of Britain 75th anniversary
Special stamps featuring historic events of battle were issued by some countries to mark the 75th anniversary of Battle of Britain. The Battle of Britain was fought between Britain and Germany’s military forces.

– International Yoga Day
India posts issued the International Day of Yoga stamp, a 5000 year old Indian body of knowledge which aims to integrate the body and the mind. June 21, was declared as the International Day of Yoga by the United Nations on December 11, 2014.

The 68th UN General Assembly announced the year 2015 to be the International Year of Soils, aimed to increase awareness of the importance of soil for food security.

Hellenic Philatelic Society organised the NOTOS 2015 International Philatelic Exhibition, in Greece from 12 to 15 November 2015 under the patronage of FEPA and AIJP.
HONG KONG 2015 – 31st Asian International Stamp Exhibition held from 20 November 2015 for four days at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.
SINGAPORE 2015 the 3rd World Stamp Exhibition held in Singapore in conjunction with Singapore’s 50th Year of Independence.

A special postage stamp to mark 48 years of ASEAN, issued jointly by all the member countries using a common design to reflect the “oneness” of the community.
– Thailand-Sri Lanka 60 years of diplomatic relations
Thailand and Sri Lanka post jointly issued special stamps to commemorate 60 years of establishment of diplomatic relations between two countries. The stamps were issued during the state visit of H.E. Maithripala Sirisena the president of Sri Lanka to Thailand.
– Singapore India Joint Stamps featuring presidential residences
Singapore Post jointly with India post issued Singapore India Joint Stamps featuring presidential residences to commemorates the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between two countries.
– Wooden Churches in Carpathian region of Poland and Ukraine
