I’ve played D&D since I was 13 years old. It’s the second RPG I ever tried and the one that not only captured me back then, but has me hooked even today. I guess running the RPGA globally for Wizards left it’s mark and being part of the internal play tests for this version, I’m eager to see what remained of our early discussions. It’s personal, like no previous set. I worked on and was credited in previous versions but now I’m on the outside excited to see what the overall system is like just like all D&D fans around the world. Remember over 170,000 other play testers inputted and I’m sure, to them, it’s equally personal. That’s a lot of potential initial sales.

Today Wizards gave the world their first public view of what this possibly ultimate version of D&D will look like and confirmed the following products release dates and prices. I’m excited so let’s take a look at what’s coming.

Fight the War Against Draconic Oppression in this Adventure for the World’s Greatest Roleplaying Game.

To this end, they are sweeping from town to town, laying waste to all those who oppose them and gathering a hoard of riches for their dread queen. The threat of annihilation has become so dire that groups as disparate as the Harpers and Zhentarim (Ian: Now I’ll take anything serious when these two enemies unite against a common enemy) are banding together in the fight against the cult. Never before has the need for heroes been so desperate.
