Jourdan Bordes is resident DJ at the Electronic Lounge. He is from the UK and he has been playing in a variety of places, spaces and jobs, gigs and parties all over the world through the years.
Beside producing music and playing he is also a Puppy & Kiddo Hero. Working to - and dreaming of ways to better their conditions all over the world!
His story goes back to 2003;
2003* Moved to the U.K. & worked with a non prophet charity company(NGM) that teaches inner city children the art of Djing and audio production in the U.K.
Performed in Manchester, Birmigham, Bristol, Swansea and London. Held residencies @ the monkey bar, Swansea and others and also performed @ Escape in the park.
2005* Intern @ Paul Oakenfold's, Perfecto Records in Los Angeles.
2006-07* Toured with Paul Oakenfold for his ' Lively Mind ' album tour to over 30 city's in North America and Mexico.
2007-2010* Performed a 2 year world tour as' The Southerner' with Titan house label.
Om Records with Samantha James as her DJ for her number one selling album 'Rise'.
The Duo Performed in Miami (WMC), Mexico, Bulgaria, London, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Singapore and many places in between.
Performed in 20 city's in North America opening for following artists Tritonal, Armin Van Buuren, Tiesto and many others.
First release 'Made For This' played by Kenneth Thomas @ " Perfecto Party " WMC
2011*-12* Signed to world famous film producer David Lynch's Charity music label.Remixed (Jourdan's first remix) famed french singer, Patricia Kaas and is featured on a compilation with Moby, Paul McCartney, Iggy Pop, Peter Gabriel and many others.
Signed to Uniform Recordings.
Lives on Koh Phangan, Thailand. Works as head booking agent, promoter and a resident DJ at Electronic Lounge.
Now living on Koh Phangan and has agreed to share his vision and tell us his Koh Phangan story.
My wife & I met in Australia. Our visa's were running out and she randomly said; “Lets move to KP”
I am a very crazy person so I said “lets go !”
I have been truly blessed to have played @Jungle Experience, Rhythm & Sands, Mushroom Mountain, Loi Lai, Hacienda and a couple private parties .
When did you start to produce your own music and do you play your own tunes when you DJ?
I have been producing music for about 4 years now .
I have only just started to have the courage to play my own tunes since I’ve been here on KP.
Both Dj’ing and producing! Where do you get your inspiration from?
I get my inspiration through a great force that drives me to do good!
This force is a voice that resonates within my spirit .
I love people, I love helping others.
My main goal with Music is to help as many ppl as possible .
Build Charity's, Schools, Give farmers in poor countries seeds and tools to help feed the hungry.
The greatest service in life is to be a service to others to me.
So my Inspiration comes from my creator and the gift he has blessed me with!
After traveling the world, do you feel Koh Phangan is the right place for you? Where is your favorite place here?
I am planing on buying land here !
Portia and I love it !
My favorite place is my front porch with my 6 dogs and my wife next to me!
I really enjoy the soft sand at Holiday Beach too!
I love Haad Rin at 2 am, on a saturday morning where it’s empty and quiet !

Playing in so many years must have given you a lot of good experience in DJ’ing and producing. What genre is your favorite and did it change through the years?
The shift from Goa and Psy Trance to House music has been amazing!
I have only lived here for 6 months but I have always read about Phangan in magazines or online.
I LOVE the scene here and I think it is the next Ibiza!
I mean that in a good way! I like Ibiza without the cheese!!
No fkn dress code or 200$ entry fee. No fake ass, gucci wearing, Swedish House Mafia Loving cheeze balls!

WIll we be so lucky to have your boogie beats here on Phangan in the next seasons? Do you see yourself here in 10 years? Where do you see yourself then?
I am planning to build a studio and small home here!
I am currently working on music with David Chong.
I have a residency @Holiday Beach @ The Electronic Lounge.
The Rhythm & Sands Crew have made a nice little venue and I love playing there.
They also have the Rhythm & Sands Festivals every month.
I will be playing after the Freestylers on the main stage Oct 28 !
So yes, I do plan on being here in the next 10 years off and on.
10 years from now I’ll be 40 - if I’m alive !
I cherish life everyday because you never know how long you have !
I just want to make a positive impact through music.
I want 4 kids and 4 houses around the world.
I see myself, along with like minded individuals, helping millions of people .
I would like to thank all the locals and the amazing Thai people.
I respect them and their land and am grateful to have found such an amazing place to live!

What is your Phangan Dream - if not producing or DJ’ing?
I want to build a dog heaven here!
Buy land, gather all the strays, get workers to live on land and tend to the animals.
I hate how they poison the dogs here and it needs to be stopped!
I have started company called Koh Phangan kayak fishing tours which will be opening in 2013.
I LOVE fishing!
I will be leaving KP in oct to DJ in The U.K. - and North America for a 4 month tour.
In December I will be performing @ New Zealands Biggest EDM festival.
January I'll be in California playing a plethora of gigs .
March will be a great month because I will be back in Miami performing with my best friend Roman Nunez. We go Under the name "GodSpeed".
My other Brother from another mother, Chad Rock Produce Breaks under the name DGTLFNKRWK & we are currently working with Zulu Nation along with TC Izlam and his dad, Africa Bambaataa.
