UK based investor Actis has bought 60% of renewable project developer Atlantic Energias Renovavels for US$169m. Atlantic has 220MW of wind projects with long term PPAs and Actis expects to invest a further US$100m into the company in the next 5 years to bring the capacity up to 620MW. Other investors in the company are Pattac, 24%, and Servinoga, 16%. In June Actis committed to invest US$290m for a 60% stake in Chilean renewable developer Aela Energia. Mainstream Renewable Power has 40%.
