The XVI New Year Festival

This festival includes performances of St. Petersburg and Moscow musicians of different generations and globally renowned stars. This festival is held in St. Petersburg the 16th time and It is dedicated to the birthday of the Jazz Philharmonic Hall.

Bicycle parade of Ded Morozes and Snegurochkas

Don’t miss a chance to see and participate in an unusual bicycle parade. You need Ded Moroz, Snegurochka, deer or Christmas tree suit, and a bicycle. All participants should go a small route through the city center: start is in the Ingenernij park and finish is in the Palace Square. The parade closes with a party in the bar and a small concert.

The performance “August: Osage County” at the Lensoviet Theater

The performance based on the play by Tracy Letts, Pulitzer Prize-winning, discovers a story about the other side of love, when feelings overwhelm so much that people lose control and do not see the borders. The Ballet “Swan Lake” staged by Rimsky-Korsakov State Conservatory

This ballet explores the love story. It includes three acts under accompaniment of Tchaikovsky music compositions and with participation of legendary troupe of Rimsky-Korsakov State Conservatory. Choreographic part is made by Marius Petipa and Lev Ivanov.

The performance “Winter’s Tale” at the Theater “Music Hall”

“Winter’s Tale” is a dance performance about love directed by Tatiana Semchenkova and Andrey Noskov. The performance is based on a story of true love, which is resistant to any change of time or death. The roles of main hero and his antagonist are performed by Andrei Noskov and Andrey Matveev. The play contains a lot of music and dances.

The opera “Christmas Tale” at Mariinsky II Theatre

This opera is based on the play by outstanding composer Rodion Shchedrin. It’s dedicated to his passed away wife, ballerina Maya Plisetskaya, and also to the artists of the Mariinsky Theatre and its artistic director Valery Gergiev. This opera is considered to bethe most difficult work of Shchedrin to perform.

The ballet “Legend of Love” at the Mariinsky Theatre

This ballet is a splendid performance by Yuri Grigorovich, the ballet libretto was written by Turkish poet Nazim Hikmet. Azerbaijani composer Arif Melikov created the ballet music. This performance is a wonderful eastern tale. It’s a vivid and dramatic ballet, where is no place for miracle.

The exhibition “A delightful world of Fellini”

The exhibition includes about 50 costumes of Fellini’s films characters, as well as decorations, posters, photographs and other materials that demonstrate aesthetic orientations of the great film director, winner of 5 “Oscar” awards. The exhibition is dedicated to the Italian beauty full of infinite love of life expressed in cinematographic works by Federico Fellini.

The exhibition “Ivan Aivazovsky. To the 200th anniversary of the artist birth”

Russian Museum presents the exhibition dedicated to the 200th anniversary of the birth of one of the most famous Russian marine painters. It includes the paintings from the collections of Russian Museum, Central Naval Museum, “Peterhof” Museum, Sea Cadet Corps, and “Tsarskoye Selo” Museum. The exhibition “Paolo Troubetzkoy. To the 150th anniversary of his birth”

The exhibition is dedicated to Paolo (Pavel) Troubetzkoy, a sculptor of the XIX–XX centuries, created a gallery of sculptural portraits of the famous contemporaries. The exhibition includes mainly works of “Russian” period of artist: portraits of Leo Tolstoy, Sergei Witte, Isaac Levitan, Feodor Chaliapin and Sergey Botkin, genre scenes, animalistic works and much more.

The exhibition “Surrealism in Catalonia. Artists of Empordà and Salvador Dali”

The exhibition discovers the art of Empordà, Catalan Valley, which became the center of the surreal art in the first half of the XX century.
